I think they simply want their weekends like everyone... If they get booked in the week daytime then they make their money and can enjoy their weekends.

I do think this is over the top. A teacher is someone you spend so much time during the year with, and you supose to develop some kind of proximity with him/her (what i consider the best teachers i had were the one that were very accessible, friendly, always doing the extra step to help you)...
