I am surprise to not see a thread for it, well it was the big match, GSP vs Hendrix. For the ones that saw the match, what you tough about it? Agree with the decision? It was one hell of a tough fight for GSP but he retained, and is now hanging his gloves. Not sure yet if its permanent or he may be back, but for the time being. Hendrix is one of the best striker i saw the later years, and im sure the guy will get the belt eventually and gives us many entertaining fight, can't wait to see more.

Feel free to comment on the rest of the card as well :)

Hendrix hit hard, really hard, thats why he was so mess up. Was similar against Carlos Condit too. GSP is more thecnical. Did you see the "tap" that is showing all around the net. I watched the video in slow mo, and i got to admit shit it really look like a tap, but it was so early in the fight....

But for me it's hard to understand how the guy who's bloodied, has multiple cuts, and wobbled a couple of times (he even admitted not remembering part of the fight), gets the win when the other one does not even have a scratch. It's just bizarre.

If you look at it on a different angle, how come a guy who finishes with not even a scratch can not deliver the final blow or dominate more clearly a fight?
To detrone a world champ (because lets not forget it was a title belt match) the contender needs to clearly dominate a fight. If the result is too close to call, the judges will usually favor the champ and leave him his belt.

People put a lot of emphasis on the bruised and bloodied face of GSP to say he was clearly beaten. But if you look at the entire fight, the technique, the number of blows, it was very close.

Before the fight, GSP was the title owner and Hendricks was the contender. With the decision they made, they left it like that because no one clearly won.

When i was a young kid i would play '' king of the mountain'' . I would climb at the top of a pile of snow and a friend would try to push me down and become the new king. Even if the other kid would be give me a very hard time and would bruise my face, if at the end i'm still on top i would remain king of the mountain !

Hendricks did a great fight but did not achieve in detroning GSP.

Dana White is an ass and should shut the fuck up. He's the Vince McMahon of MMA. If he's not happy with the decision then he can just mandate a rematch for GSP's next fight, if he has another fight, which I think is the only way to proceed. As for the fight last night, GSP got his ass handed to him and was not even close to winning the fight. He was never in command at any point in the fight and was almost knocked out in the second round. I agree with the saying that the challenger has to TAKE the belt from the champion, but this doesn't require that he knocks him out. I think Hendricks did more than enough to take the belt away last night. GSP was beaten and he was beaten up. He's no longer the champion in my eyes.

One thing I was really surprised by was the full, thick beard that Hendricks came into the ring with. That should not have been permitted and I hope he has to shave it down for his next fight. That would never have been permitted in a championship boxing match because of the extra cushioning it provides.

First off, I've always been a fan of GSP, he's one the classiest gents in the business and has had an amazing title run. Last night he got his ass handed to him in every facet of the fight. For the judges to award that split decision to him is bordering on the bullshit that has been so prevalent in professional boxing for years.

If anyone saw the post fight news conference, I found Hendricks to be a complete douchebag. He mentioned that he was only throwing at 70% and would have knocked out GSP with ease had he been throwing 100%. What kind of jackass makes this statement? He said he won the fight at 70% and I was happy to see Dana White call him out for being an asshole and say that he should have given 100% instead of leaving it in the judges hands. What a fucken clown.

GSP's retirement, is it real or just an emotional statement do the fact that he had never had his ass handed to him that easily before? Time will tell but I'm sure if Dana White has any say in it, GSP will be fighting at least one more time.

I've always been a huge boxing fan for as long as i can remember. My favorite boxer of all-time was Muhammad Ali. Heck, he was a favorite of mine when he used to box as Cassius Clay. I was also a big fan of Canadian great George Chuvalo. Davey Hilton was also one of my favorites until he was convicted for being a pedophile. Loved Sugar Ray Leonard, Lenox Lewis, etc.

I stopped being a boxing fan when i couldn't take the corruption & what i call "Don King" type of decisions by corrupt judges. Enough was enough!!

So i started to follow the UFC when GSP's popularity grew. And grew. I'm a big GSP fan, and if it weren't for him, i probably wouldn't watch it as much. However, i'm disappointed to say that last night's main event turned into a calamity! There is no way that Hendricks shouldn't be the champion today. Not only did he badly batter GSP, but GSP didn't do anything!!

The last two UFC events that i've watched all wound up with very questionable decisions by the judges. I figured maybe judges can have an off-night also. But after seeing my favorite UFC fighter being awarded the decision last night, it's no doubt in my mind that the outcome of some of the matches is pre-determined by gamblers & corrupt judges. As i awaited the decision last night, i joked to one of my buddies that only a "Don King" type of decision would prevent Hendricks from getting the title. Well, what can i say? I was correct!

Has Dana White become UFC's modern-day version of Don King???

After last night's debacle, i likely will not be watching another UFC event again. I hope GSP retires and stays retired for his own good, and not tarnish his reputation like past UFC greats such as Tito Ortiz, Randy Couture & Chuck Ledell.

GSP should be ashamed to call himself the champ today. I'm 100% certain that he knows in his heart that he got the shit kicked out of him and only corrupt factions are responsible for him still holding the belt. What more could Hendricks have done to win???

I think i'll go back to watching WWE, which i haven't done in a dozen years. At least i know for sure that the matches are fixed.

I feel sorry for all the folks who blew their hard-earned money last night on the PPV.

As for me, i'm happy that i decided to stay home and watch the match on my computer. For free. After last night, the UFC will not be getting another penny from me.

Well Dana White publicaly said Hendrix should had won, if he is behind a corrupted decision, he hides it pretty well... I don't know really what made the judges decide for GSP, but personally i would like a rematch... cause if GSP quit like that, he will quit when people still think he didn't won... if he do one more match, beat Hendrix without controversy, now he will be able to retire peacefully, and if loose... well torch will be pass to Hendrix...

Im a fan of GSP, a Quebec guy on top of a fighting promotion, how cool is that, and certainly im not a fan in general of the USA as some knowns, but as a fighter, Hendrix is just so much more exiting to watch. I don't take anything away of GSP, he is one hell of a ground fighter and one of the best if not the best thecnical fighter, but Hendrix striking is just so fun to see. Condit vs Hendrix was one of the best match i ever saw, they stole the show that night easily.
