A while back, I was blasted for a post that gave no service details and basically said the girl looked good and we had fun. Now that I am a little more experienced in my newfound hobby I can see that it was a useless post and served no purpose. I, and I am sure many others, rely on good solid informative posts to guide us in the hobby and service details are essential. I write this now because recently I have seen several reviews where the poster said, “I wont go into details”. Well, if you don’t go into details then the post is useless and you might as well keep it to yourself. If you as a poster used the board to help find a lady to spend time with, then it is your obligation to provide details and reciprocate. If story telling isn’t your thing then keep it simple and to the point. Anyway, this is just my two cents worth on posting.

Reciprocate is one thing, being too graphical is another. As Maxima mentioned, many ladies don't want to be graphicaly reviewed on the boards, let alone reviewed at all.

Reviewing a lady has multiple effects: First, she gets attention. But wait. It's good for her to a certain extent, but too many individuals reading those boards have no clue what YMMV means and expect a "service" as if the ladies were robots. How many times did you meet a lady, really clicked with her and had a great time? When that happens you get something other fellows will not get, and posting it on the boards raise expectations. Hence the secondary effect: The girl gets more and more pressure to do things she's not willing to, gets bored, jaded, and it spoils it for everyone. In more extreme cases, it causes girls to leave the business for good or stick with an established, nice and gentlemanly clientele on the side, exclusively.

Bottom line, I much prefer what you call a "useless" review to a graphical review of someone if it's going to cause the girl any grief.

It's too bad the industry has tagged the term "Service Provider" (SP) to those ladies, as in the head of many it implies that they are ONLY there to provide a service. Too often people tend to forget they are human beings, with emotions and feelings.

I agree that details are what makes the board work... And, IMO, the only time descretion is called for is when it pertains to a girl in a strip club giving services... Those reviews can get the girl in trouble, or even fired. But there are ways to imply that you have details to give without advertising it.

People that use the phrase "I can't go into details..." or something similar, either doesn't have balls like Son of Cock said, or has something to say but doesn't want the girl to attract heat.

Easiest way is to PM and ask strait out.

I guess that's all I got for now...

From my experience those who do not go into alot of details generally have their own little fetishes that they prefer to keep to themselves. Their posts still are usefull and back channel info is still available; still better than lurking and not posting any review at all. Others are just not very good writers...

I agree 100%. we should be encouraging more postings not less. compare the traffic on this board to TERB. it is pitiful. the original post in this thread, while obviously well intentioned and in no manner nasty, has nevertheless probably already had a chilling effect on newbies and/or lurkers around here. they will now think twice before posting anything for fear of being flamed. the problem of quality of posts on MERB, if it exists at all, is a distant second cousin to the problem of quantity of posts

But TERB has the opposite problem, lots of posts but 90% of them are drivel and nonsense. Doing a search on TERB is impossible because of the quantity of sewage posts that you have to sift through. I prefer quality over quantity. If a newbie has something good to say on MERB, I believe he'll say it and be received warmly. Those who make useless posts should not be received warmly. I view NYClimber's original post and this thread as an important guide for newbie posters on this Board.
