Saw it today... OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!

A truly great film. It was beautifully shot, intensely acted, and very intelligently written. This is defiantly the type of film I would love to see more of. Unapologetic, balls out action, mixed with quirky off beat humor that makes some laugh and others feel very uncomfortable.

Bill Moseley... Can't say enough about his portrayal of Otis. Intense is a fucking understatement! His deliveries, in particular the scene with Banjo & Sullivan, are passionate, terrifying, and completely believable.

Every actor seemed to dive head first into their roles… Not a single one, IMO, seemed to be overacting or hamming it up for the characters. And in a flick that’s so over-the-top, that could have easily happened.

Leslie Easterbrook did a hell of a job stepping into Mother Firefly’s twisted shoes, dug in deep, made it her own, and never made me think… “Hey that’s the woman from Police Academy.”

William Forsythe is fucking insane… I would have hated to be in his head during his preparation period. But hey, the character’s an Elvis fan so he can’t be all bad…

Ken Foree, had the show stealing role. If nothing else comes out of this film, it needs to be him getting more work in bigger roles. A hell of an actor that, like Leslie, is known mainly for one character. Well I hope people take notice of his work in this one and realize he’s not there because he’s the “guy from Dawn of the Dead.” But rather the fact that he’s an actor that took a character and made him believably come to life.

Sid Haig once again puts on a commanding memorable performance. Hammering home why he’s a legend in this industry. At face value Spaulding is sadistic, angry, perverted clown that hates kids & loves fucking fat chicks… Yet somehow by the end of the flick you have compassion for the guy and want to see him (along with Otis & Baby) pull through… At least I did… That’s how a good story comes together. That of course has a lot to do with Rob’s smart writing and direction.

And of course I’m not gonna forget Sheri… She is defiantly going to break out as one of the better actresses of this generation. Mrs. Zombie puts a more serious face on Baby in this one. The character seemed more passionate and realistic. I thought the interactions between her, Otis & Spaulding were very dead on as far as dysfunctional families go. Between the fighting and ball breaking going on, it gave me a chuckle. How many of us haven’t gotten into a “Fuck you!” fight with either a sibling or a friend?

The Devil’s Rejects has smart, sharp, biting dialogue that moves the pacing of the film without feeling forced… And, IMO, one of the most beautifully filmed endings I’ve seen in a long time… I would recommend this film to everyone. And if that’s not clear enough, I REALLY FUCKING LIKED THIS FILM!

Is this the sequel to House of a 1,000 Corpses?

Rob Zombie produced it or directed it? I saw "House of 1,000 Corpses" and liked some of it but thought it was pretty wacked out. I guess that was the point though right? So this one picks up where the last one leaves off? More humour this time around? How about sex? I would have liked to have seen a little more of the blonde girl in the last movie. She has a great ass. How about special effects, more, less?

Happy belated birthday by the way, a week ago right?

Rob wrote, directed, and Exec. Produced it...

There's a ton of Sheri Moon Zombie's ass in this one. Including a great scene where she drops trow a begs Priscilla (Three's Company) Barns to shoot her in the ass.

The very dark humor is there. I laughed a lot in it, but a lot of people around me were sitting there very uncomfortablly over what they were watching...

Some wierd sex & violence moments throughout.

It's a totally different film from House of 1000 Corpses... Dirtier, grittier, and more emotional. Also as I stated above, it has one of the most beautifully shot endings I've seen in years scored to Skynyrd's Free Bird... Fucking awesome!

Wow! You learn something new every day.
For some reason I always thought Scarface had the most.

BTW Thanks for the link.
