I would suggest installing a dedicated texting app (e.g. TextPlus) to use for hobbying. Then you can delete the app anytime you want, and can always reload it when you need it.

Hi everyone something really weird happened to me last week.I texted a girl at 11 am to see I if could see her around 2 or 3 pm.
She texts me back at 8 pm saying ''Je suis au motel ideal all weekend''
Problem is my wife heard the beep and saw the message......
I told her must be a wrong number ???To close for comfort.
Is it me or was the text a little too late
It's just plain unprofessional to text that many hours later. I do prefer text to email because most of the people don't always "reserve" days in advance and I don't don't have the time to check my email several times a day.
Texting a SP at 11am? If she has been up till 5am the previous night she may not be up until 6pm. To me a text can be replied to whenever the person reads it and if you do not want a reply after a certain time add that to text. People read texts not minds.
On an I phone there is a way to adjust your phone so that you receive a message that says "New Text." As others have mentioned, you can also make your texts silent. If the "New Text" message pops up and your phone is password protected then your nosy S.O. cannot see your information.

If I were you I would lay low for at least a year. When they are suspicious they you are in grave danger.

Just my personal opinion... you should not be cheating on your wife with anyone. You're putting her health at risk without her knowledge with is a no-no in my book.
