WWE SummerSlam - Quick Match Results

    - United States Title: Chris Benoit def. Orlando Jordan to win the title
    - Edge def. Matt Hardy
    - Ladder Match: Rey Mysterio def. Eddie Guerrero
    - Olympic Gold Medal Match: Kurt Angle def. Eugene
    - Randy Orton def. The Undertaker
    - WWE Title: John Cena def. Chris Jericho to retain
    - World Title: Batista def. JBL to retain in a No Holds Barred Match
    - Hulk Hogan def. Shawn Michaels

Apparently the Edge-Matt Hardy match was a bloodbath and was stopped by the ref.

This pay per view was shit. It was terrible. If you guys watched it, HBK was overacting to the max in his match with Hogan (he probably had to do it to carry the match because Hogan is so damn old).

I can't believe that Hogan won the match with the leg drop. We've seen Michaels kick out of pedigrees and Angle Slams before..... but he couldn't kick out of the leg drop???? Hogan is too damn old, she should just leave for good.

The match of the night was Guerrero vs. Mysterio. 5 star match all the way.

I can't believe the finish to Edge vs. Hardy. The ref stopped it cuz Hardy was pissing blood.

Overall a very dissapointing pay per view. Thank god I didn't have to pay to watch it

    Not popular

At the risk of not being popular, I think Hogan should retire from active wrestling, or pass the torch, whatever, ... but please no more wrestling. I didn't see the pay per view (but King of Bling's review isn't nice) but just remember his match with Angle last Monday night. He can't do anything anymore in the ring, even his kick to the face (before the leg drop) leaves to be desired, half the time he's hitting the opponent's chest.

I admire this guy. He's singlehandedly changed wrestling. Him and Vince MacMahon have opened the way for all the young talent that we see today. Now please let them through, it's their time to shine.

I still would like to see him involved but not in the ring. In the old days, it was more about the ability with the mike and showmanship. But today you've got to back it up in the ring with ability to wrestle. Especially not a one move wrestler that has to carry the match.

Hulk Hogan thanks for the memories. But it's time for some new ones.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

    losing interest

I watched a bit of RAW last night and, to tell you the truth, i think that the WWE should start thinking of dropping the old guys, like Hogan and S Michaels. I think that the WWE should focus on promoting the new generation instead.

BTW, i hadn't seen Angle in a while and thought he looked a bit thinner yesterday around the shoulders and arms. Is it just me? Also, i find that the WWE should think of either getting new writers on board with fresh ideas or think of changing the show's concept because things are starting to get pretty repetitive. Just my 2 cents.

For me the main problem is that wrestling has become a soap opera for guys. In the old days, when some people thought it was actually a real competition, there were none of these stupid storylines. You had feuds and rivalries, but now the story lines have taken a backseat to what happens in the ring.

    Best on Raw

I can't say that I agree with the statement that HBK is the most valuable player on Raw. He still deserves to be in the ring. He can still bring it. But I think that Kurt Angle is the best overall athlete/entertainer. He should anchor the show. I hope he gets the belt from John Cena.

I agree. He's the best pure wrestler to ever step inside a WWE ring.

Angle: has he something still left to prove?

I agree that Angle is a pillar in today's industry, but i'd like to see him try out other types of roles other than the good, clean-cut obnoxious former olympic gold medallist that everybody loves to hate. I'd like to see what he could bring to the table playing another type of character. The same goes for Cena. To his credit, although he was never my most-favourite wrestler, The Undertaker did try out different roles during his illustrious career with surely his most memorable one- and apparently one of Vince's most cherished creation- being The Undertaker.
