If the stanley cup comes, which option is better?

1. stub hub, or waiting in line at the billeterie at the bell center?

IE which method gets better seats. Is it even possible to get row 101, or will the season ticket holders, already got that, and how do playoffs work for season holder, first dibs or what?

I'd wait on the day the tickets are being sold online. They sell them through their websiite. If no luck, check online ads such as Craiglist, Kijiji and annonces123. My next option would be to buy them off ticket brokers, who also use the sites i just listed.

What i've found from Stub Hub is that most tickets are grossly overpriced and it's my last resort.

I'd try to get a seat in the middle of the ice, and not too close to the ice since you can't see what's going on in the corners on your side. I also found that it's quite easier to get a ticket if you're alone. Pairs or more are hard to get and more expensive. Season ticket holders get first crack at playoffs tickets and most renew their tickets. If they can't go, they sell them to a scalper or via an online site.

Look behind you.
If Montreal makes it to the next round ( and I have money on it ) I should be back for that series and Kijiji will be where I look. All else fails scalpers at the door.

It's also not a bad idea to be patient. If you plan on getting a better deal from the scalpers, head to the Bell Centre after the first period has begun. You'll find at least one or two of them who will be more reasonable since the last thing they want is to wind up holding unsold tickets. If you have to wait until the midpoint of the first period (say around 7:30pm), then i'd do it. Stick to your guns and don't bend.

And as always, be vigilant. Iggy & I nearly got screwed by someone who sold a pair of tickets on one of those online sites i mentionned. He told us he had won the tickets at the Montreal Casino and that they were located in their private booth. He told us that there'd be a lot of local celebrities there & we'd be offered a 5-star buffet.

Well, we showed up, and were nearly turned around by the booth's staff. They have a list with the guests' names and of course, our names were not on it. The gentleman told us we had been had. He told us to leave. I then got an idea & called the guy who had sold us the tickets, and passed my phone to the booth's attendant. I don't know what was said between them, but the gentleman came back & told us we could stay....but that this was extremely unusual (for them to allow us to stay) and that next time we wouldn't be so lucky.

Oh yeah....no celebrities were in attendance (other than Iggy & I.....;)) and the 5-star buffet consisted of hotdogs, pizza & smoked meat sandwiches. Free beer/liquor, though. But we gave the two attendants a pretty good tip on our way out after the game to show our appreciation. :)

That was a fun night Doc. Our hostess was great, anytime she saw we were close to being done with our beers. boom! another arrived. The buffet defiantely was not five star but the one smoked meat sandwich I had was one of the best I have ever had, super lean and juicy with wonderful flavor. Was a cool experience to sit in the private box but we should of tried to sneak into the playboy private box a few doors down lol.
