I don't believe we'll ever see another NFL team losing the way Green Bay lost against Seattle a week ago. This was an epic loss of all proportions!

Quite true. The closest comparison from another sport would be the Leaf collapse against the Bruins in game 7 in the first round of the playoffs at the end of the shortened season.

Hi all

Michael Jordan with 6 playoff MVP awards

http://www.totalprosports.com/2012/06/25/9-athletes-with-multiple-finals-mvp-awards/#10

As if there was any doubt, “His Airness” Michael Jordan earns the top spot on this list. Nobody in NBA history relished the big stage of the Finals quite like MJ. He led his Chicago Bulls to six championships in six appearances from 1991-1993 and 1996-1998. En route to winning his six Finals MVP awards, Jordan outdueled some very heavy competition while compiling a very impressive stat line. He averaged 33.6 points per game while adding 6 assists and 6 rebounds. His 41 points per game during the 1993 finals is a record that still stands today. In a career packed with big shots, he hit perhaps his biggest in the 1998 Finals when he famously pushed off of Brian Russell and buried the game winner to beat the Utah Jazz for his sixth title.

Cheers

BookerL,

I don't know how many playoff MVPs LeBron James has won but as a basketball fan I rate his MVP performance in the playoffs just completed as the best 2-way performance by a playoff MVP I have ever seen. Jordan was also a 2 way player but unlike Jordan, LeBron can defend all 5 positions in the floor with great confidence. That blocked shot he had at the end of game 7 was the play that won that game more than the Irving 3 pointer.

I think LeBron was MVP the prior year even though his team lost and he had no help in that series at all when Cavs star players Irving and Love were hurt.

After watching LeBron's performance in these playoffs I am of the opinion that he is the best 2 way player in NBA history because of the ability to guard all 5 positions with tremendous effectiveness. One other thing I noticed is he has great instincts and on defense he disrupts the passing lanes much like Jordan did as well. LeBron's defense in the 2016 NBACS was simply insane.

Try a combination of 5 MVPs, 12 times All-Star, and 11 CHAMPIONSHIPS (Twice back to back as Player-Coach). Astonishing in any era. Biill Russell.

BookerL,

In addition to the exploits that you mentioned, Michael Jordan also hit the game winning shot in the 1982 NCAA Championship game to give North Carolina a win in a very hard fought game against Patrick and Georgetown. That was one of the best games in NCAA history with two evenly matched teams and the game went back and forth all the way. Jordan was a little known freshman in college at the time, who was not anywhere close to being the best player on that UNC team which featured James Worthy (later with the LA Lakers) and Sam Perkins. Here is the shot:
