Go to Thursdays on Crescent...usually a bunch of women in that age bracket who are waiting to be picked up....so I've heard.

I don't follow. Women, did you mean SP or regular women? Women who you can date or one night stands? Strippers or women with class?

Oh regularly women in that age bracket. The bookstore, Chapters or Indigo. Oh the one night stand? I still have to figure that out myself.
I also know, that the Sherlocks is a 5 a 7 pickup place. It's a meat market. women are harassed without reservations from the guys.
I have mostly looked on the Internet as you are sure that they are single. Have you tought of taking night classes at Concordia? And I do know one of my friend who takes social danse class cause it's a ratio of 5 women to 1 man. So if you're classy with your steps, show your skills at 6/49, a latin dance club.

    Bruce34,

I thought Sherlock's closed about a year or 2 ago. I used to love that place! Did they open another location? They used to be in that building on Peel above the InfoTouriste Centre.

Interesting subject... I fly in and out of Trudeau all the time and last year i scored with this Montreal-based gate agent with a major airline I won't name because she still works there. I first met her when I had plenty of time to kill because the inbound plane was late getting in due to bad weather. Slim and leggy brunette, shy appearance but a vocal beast in bed. Got the whole GFE nine yards with her except for Greek.
A demander: une cochonne Quebecoise ou Allemande avec qui le sol se derobe sous mes pieds!

I was picked up at Brutopia (on Crescent) on a Tuesday night. The guy seemed shy and mumbled, 'Did you know that dandruff shampoo compaign is fake and it's only to make people buy the shampoo but they actually don't work?'..

I already had a couple of pints and I laughed and all I could say was 'So do you have dandruff?'. I was nice to the guy and actually made friends with him but I can easily imagine another girl being turned off by this kind of pick up line!

But seriously I think Brutopia isn't the best place for 30+ single women. But that's what makes it fun, if you find one--she's yours!

I've also been told that English and French women are different. French women will tell you right away either to get lost or they will get drunk with you and bring you home. English women will wait until you ask them for a date and then they won't do anything on the first date and on the second date they will probably tell you you are not their type.

At least that's what I've been told. I don't understand English women either.

So for that reason the French part of Montreal has lots more pick up bars than the English. Or rather the pick up situation is more popular on the 'French side'.

Someone correct me if I don't make any sense because I'm a bit drunk after Brutopia..

Any other suggestions besides Thursday's? It's voted in one Montreal paper as the best pickup spot, but for best looking clientele, it's nowhere to be found in the top ten.

BTW, any idea on what kind age group is attracted to the Tokyo Bar? Went to the Radio Lounge last year. Wasn't impressed. Just a dark little room on the second floor. There was no dance floor, so everybody just drank.

OK, Thursday's sucked pretty bad. There were 5 guys for every girl. Yeah, I like those odds. With the money I just blew on dinner, drinks, and transportation, I could have had more than 1/2 the dough for an escort encounter.

Well, I will have to rest up for some hipper dance clubs next Friday instead of running around wasting my energy on some not happening place.

    500 miles,

Try these 2 clubs, Electric Avenue and Funkytown. Both are owned by the same people.

Electric Avenue is an 80s club. I love it, and it is my favorite club to visit. I always see people in their 30's there. It is right on Crescent across from the Hard Rock Cafe.
Funkytown is a 70s club. Have not been there so I cannot comment. It is on Peel, just south of Ste-Catherine's.

Post note: Sorry maxhard. these clubs are only open on the weekends...

MOONEY: Sergeant, I swear! Flying! With a big red cape! And bright red boots as well! Then, quick as a wink - he was gone! Flew up in the air again, he did. Like a big blue bird!
SERGEANT: Like a big blue bird....with bright red boots! Why don't you take the rest of the night off now, Mooney. Go back to Murphy's bar and finish what you plainly started. I'll be off myself in a bit and join ya there...
