Ponpon,

I am glad to hear that you have paid your debt to society. Does this mean you can now return to full time hobbying - is that the point of your post?

After being away from the hooby for quite some time I decided to come back. The problem is I forgot my old handle. I do remeber a bit of this affair.

Girls can be nothing but trouble. Good luck to you. You were not her only victim. You just took it too far and broke the law. Keep your head straight nad remeber that there is a difference between a girl friend and a GFE. I know I would think twice about having an SP, or a former SP, as a GF. Maybe others wouldn't . My opinion.

He went gaga over Coralie of FKS. She basically dragged him on while she was married to somebody else at the time. He got pissed off and went a bit ballistic. Mow he is getting to the end of his long journey to, put his life in place. Others came out saying this type of nonsense happened to them to. Others came out defending Coralie because she is a great lay and we should all expect these sort of things in this biz. The story has gone on for years ad nauseum. It seems that every so often i lurk onto this site there is anothere Coralie/FKS/ponpon or others related story. Moral is to play the field tin this biz. You kight have a preferred restauraunt but do you eat there all the time? Same goes here.

If I were the sentencing judge, I would have ordered him to do 120 hours community service on behalf of the STELLA organization, or working for a related sex worker's advocacy group. Community service is only meaningful if the service is done for that sector of the community that was hurt by the crime.

I guess that's why you are not the Judge. I doubt any Judge I know of would recommend Stella. Maybe he was made to mop up a battered woman's shetlter instead which would still be a bad idea. I think any sane judge would keep this guy away from woman till he is cured a bit. Would you make a convicted pedophile do community service in an orphange? I think we should leave this guy alone now. He served his time and is asking us for help to stay away from temptations and our forgiveness. He never hurt me. Besides it took 2 to Tango. Now lets move on. As Thrustering said, it's been discussed ad nauseum. This reminds me of a tasteless joke. " Arguing over the Internet is like winning a race at the Special Olympics. You might have won but you are still retarded." (No insult was meant towards the Handicap. Just really trying to drive a point across like an Anvil.)

kneelongreen,

You did not read my post very carefully or very astutely. I said the community service should be done FOR those organizations, not with them. That could mean scrubbing their toilets or cutting the lawn or shoveling the snow off the driveway, or it could mean making deliveries of their publications for them. Or acting as a "gopher." It does not necessarily mean working with women. And he also could scrub toilets at a battered women's shelter, with supervision and without any contact with the shelterees.

Not to focus on the case of Ponpon, but I have always felt that community service should be meaningful work and not fun and games. As part of my schooling I had to do community service (40 hours) and it was not fun and games. And it certainly should not be for those who go through the criminal justice system.

I don't understand why all the speculation. I asked a simple question and still haven't gotten a affirmative answer. For all I know it was 120 hours of daty.

The 120 years of community service included going around the stripclubs after-hours and cleaning the toilets.

Why come back to what got you into trouble?

Did anyone get physically hurt?

Regardless, maybe ponpon should not endulge himself in this hobby if he has a propensity to fall hard for girls and then loses control if they lead him on. Just a thought.

That is cruel and unusual punishment !

Remember the hardest working person in show biz, Mr. I feel good, James Brown? You know what he got to do as part of his community service sentence? He was teaching hair styling to a bunch of high school kids for a year!!! Well, at least he had the skills for it, or perhaps the judge had a good sense of humor! So, my guess (even though I hate speculating) ponpon's community service had something to do with his skill set. I am surprised the lawyers among us didn't speculate the same.

As far as Coralie goes, I have never met her, and from what people told me via PM she is a could-have-been, should-have-been, might-have-been and thats about it. Ponpon has his entire life ahead of him to fix things up and enjoy his retirement years, whereas she hasn't even realized that she has an issue yet.

I was just kidding regarding Mr. Ponpon's community service. I also meant to write 120 days, and not years. I have no clue what his community service consisted of.

As for your statement re: Ms. Coralie, well, the large majority of providers that i've met through the years live day-by-day and haven't planned for the future. This seems to be a common denominator among the ladies. If this is the case with her, she's a part of the majority who ply the same trade as she does. No wonder most of them would like to retire from the biz, but keep coming back. No more money left. All spent on travelling abroad, vacations, shopping at expensive clothing or shoe stores, etc. Eating at the fanciest restaurants.....and in the LDL sector, going out all the time and partying the nights and weekends away. I won't get into what they spend a lot of money on, but it's related to partying. Sure, some save up and escorting pays their way to school. But it doesn't happen often.

And that has to stop.....

There are reasons why that happens to the women in this business and it hurts no one but themselves. However, there is no excuse for stalking and threatening another peson. Soooo, what was your point JaJ? Are you trying to make Ponpon feel better by comparing his situation with the poor education and working conditions that most SP's encounter? How is that comforting?

PLUS...why should there be any retribution here for Ponpon? Ponpon did the crime and the time. He doesn't get any pats on the back from me for it. She may have lead him on, but he is an adult, (I presume). Why is that she should have a terrible life (oh, and along with many other SPs, to boot!) because he couldn't act like an adult?

I just don't get why Ponpon had to come back here and post about the fact that he had done his time and bla bla bla... If I had and addiction to sex or to SP's and was trying to get rid of my addiction (he probably was sentenced to do some therapy as well), I wouldn't come back here as soon as I was done ?! I would try and stay away from these boards and SP's all together...

I find it disturbing that some have posted to suggest that Coralie is somehow responsible for Ponpon's behavior. The posters who think this way are misogynists in my view. What you pay an SP for is to create a fantasy/illusion of love and physical intimacy. When an SP succeeds in doing that, and making you think that she is your girlfriend, she has done her job. It is not "manipulation"; it is doing her job. When a hobbyist has trouble distinguishing the line between fantasy and reality that is HIS problem. When he cannot control himself and commits criminal acts he, and he alone, is responsible and accountable for those actions.

IMHO, this attitude we see on the Board mainly comes from the hobbyists who, in real life, have had trouble in their relationships with women and do not have girlfriends. They generally earn low incomes, lack class and sophistication, and have self confidence issues. They also have problems with women who earn more money than they do, and with women who are successful in life, whereas they are not. Most of the hobbyists I have met are cool and regular guys, but there is a disturbing segment of "losers" who perpetuate assorted misogynist theories on this Board which are not really reflective of reality, but rather of the fact that they are, simply put, losers in life.

I am not referring to Ponpon as I have never met him, and I do hope he can put this episode behind him and only come back to hobbying if he can handle it emotionally.

Thank you EB.

To be fair to JaJ, he has shown much more sensitivity previously than he stated in his last post here in this thread. Perhaps he wasn't clear about his opinion and will rethink it a bit. I have faith in JaJ.

It is hard for people, even if they work in this industry or use the services of providers to try shake the stigmatising, stereotyping and prejudices that pervade our society about sex work and sex workers.
