McGill University (one of the most "festive" university according to a recent survey) is apparently one of the prime "target".

    Red face

See the link in The Gazette . They just talked about this in the news in Radio-Canada. They were shooting monday and yesterday in a downtown hotel. They will put the choosen one in a special issue about college in spring 2006.

I took a look a the Playboy site and they put the Peel Pub as the bar of the month for McGill. Playboy's Link

I don't know if it still true about the beer recycling...

    Hey Train

Guess I'm out of touch . I thought the Peel Pub was a gay bar for the last ten years.

That's the proof urban legend about Montreal can have a long life in big TO!

    Peel Pub

I hate the place! Too much smoke, greasy food, loud and crowded, and it appears filthy.

That's true. I'm wondering how they can sell a club or spaghetti $1.99.
And also, don't forget the beer recycling...

Recycled Beer Story: Legend or Fact?

The first time i heard the story of recycled beer, it was from a former local Mtl gangster who ran a pool hall in Ontario a few years ago. He was dead serious about that story and he was 100% certain it was true. He said that this story was also told in the weekly tv show (similar to 60 Minutes) called "JE", which plays on friday evening. He mentionned that some disgruntled former employees blew the whistle on the operation.

Or the fact that you can order fries with ketchup in them already

Didn't they get busted a couple of times by sanitation?

Well here is the truth - Like it - Love it - Believe it or not. - When the Choice used to hang out on the balcony: Back in ancient times (1970-1973): Your Father's Moustasche on Closee: we called it the 'stache: next to Montreal Forum: used to serve pitchers of Export (Molson Ex for GTA people) + free very salted peanuts in the shell so you would buy more beer: home to McGill nursing students (really liked those who chose to burn their bras) + guys from everywhere including Dawson College : well; beers were poured "several minutes" before things got busy + water was added to make it tasty :-): facts are: whatever you did not drink...went back into the next pitcher sold . Like or lump it it! This is 4 sure 100% - I used to work there as a waiter. So what? No one who worked there complained as most worked there every weekend: collected pogey (before computer systems were linked + it was called UNemployment insurance + collected welfare, all the while paying the club 50$ on a weekend just for the privilege of working and collecting tips. p.s.By the way, way back then, you could buy a driveable used car for 500$. So what? All things are relative - NO scam is new, just recycled! Have a nice day
