here is something i always wondered about...and was afraid to ask..
Do SPs still stay in circulation on their menstrual days or do they generally take these days off?
To be honest , happened to me a few weeks ago with an indie...
she did not tell me.....just glad i did not feel like DATY that day!
Did not like the site of my condom covered in blood...
I know lots dont care....but i do!

Accidents happen, Mack. Sometimes vigourous intercourse can bring a period on quicker if it is a few days before the beginning of a cycle. She might not have known. Don't be so harsh!

Personally, I don't understand why some guys are so uptight about a little bit of blood. :D

Yes it is true vigourous intercourse can bring a period on early, even by a few days. So can a very intense series of orgasms.

I remember this happening to me once with a client, andd to make it worse I had no protection with me and was wearing whire panties!

Usually I inform my clients on my red days. I wear a sponge and there will be no blood on the condom, or anywhere else. Some don't mind, some even prefer it because the inside temperature is higher than usual.

Instead

I think all women should wear Instead, they are the best! This way they'll never know you're on your period! Of course accidents happen but I think they are very unlikely. Also a woman may consider wearing Instead if she feels it 'coming'.. or a couple of days in advance just to be on the sure side! (if she has a history of intercourse induced bleeding)..

With me usually if I get intercourse induced period it doesn't start strong and only a few minutes or half hour later.. but I guess for some women it might be sooner..

Did someone say blood?

Maybe I am Naive but I had assumed an Sp would be "off work" during her menstrual cycle. With the notable exception of if it was brought on by intercourse I would be very upset to find an Sp knowingly booked an appt. with me during her cycle. I would have a hard time forgiving someone for exposing me to such a life threatening risk without making me aware beforehand of her "situation". In my opinion not telling a client about this time of the month being in full swing shows a total lack of respect towards him.

Even with a condom and a sponge. The risk of contracting HIV or other STD's skyrockets when even trace amounts of blood are present during sexual activity. If an Sp has no problem with allowing intercourse during that time would she allow DATY as well? Who knows! To emerge from Daty with menstrual blood on or in my mouth would make me throw up and dash for the nearest hospital, although that would probably do me no good.

Maybe I'm wrong

I'm not promoting intercourse or DATY during and SPs menstrual cycle but, if the concern is to get HIV or other STD disease from the body fluid that is blood, why do DATY at all. Aren't you exposing yourself to other body fluids even if she is not on her period ?(hopefully if you are doing in it rigth:) ).

If you are wearing a condom and do not perform daty, then your "life threatening risk" is no more than if you had met her at any other time of the month. Don't be so dramatic.

Just be sensible and use protection. Don't go down right away if you are with an SP (or any other woman) you don't really know well. Do a finger check, then make your decisions. Just remember, you don't have to do daty and if you wear a condom, your risks are about the same as before.

And remember: We can still do bj's

Women: Sponges are great. It minimizes the mess and are better for you than bleached out tampons. I personally find them useless on heavy days, however. :(

first...well i did not think that '' mack', was harsh..let me see i am rereading,...my first post...nope..i dont see the harshness...
second.... it wasnt after rigourous sex...
and after all...if i am paying....do i have to compromise?
I would have prefered she told me ...that is all...
Some in the past have told me..so we procedeed different,,
Put it this way...her pussy was a licking away .righrt on top on me...
in a 69 position......for some reason....i did not do it....and i am glad..
maybe i am fussing...as you are saying......but this is business no?

I agree with Magda. Men are very weirded out by blood. But maybe its because they do not bleed?

Honest Abe:
I would hardly call it a 'life threatening risk' though, and I think this is a little over the top.

And, having menstrual blood around would have no effect on the risk of contracting an STI. Unless the girl had a flare up at the same time, in which case it has nothing to do with menstruation. As for HIV, maybe, if you had cuts yourself that could increase the likelihood of transfer.

If you are so worried about this you should invest in some dental dams.

I do think that its best to always be honest though. Especially when it comes to men and blood

What I think was harsh was suggesting a boycott just because some SP was on her period, max. I didn't say you were harsh. She should have been forthcoming about her menses, or at the very least refused daty.

I think it is a bit hard to ask that SPs do not work during their menses. There are too many variables that might make it hard to predict when it is arriving or when it will end, even for those on BC. Sometimes there is spotting after a period and that may bloody a condom. During regular heavy flow, I don't recommend working, however.

Yes gentlemen, women bleed. It is natural and no more disgusting than any other bodily fluid. I mean, some guys don't mind getting or giving rim jobs and my personal preference is blood over sh*t anyday!

If you are really revolted by menses (and not all men are), I suggest asking the SP if it is her time BEFORE making appointments with her. Just as a precaution, of course. No use wasting anyone's time. If she tells you she is and then you find out different, then perhaps boycotting would be in order for unprofessionalism. I say the client should ask this if it is bothersome to them, because it doesn't bother some men and to bring it up may just be a turn off no matter what one's preference is.

There is definately a call here for more awareness and honesty regarding menses on both the part of the SP and also the client.

Dramatic?

I don't think were being realistic if were agreeing, and I'm not, that being exposed to blood even in small amounts is not THE MOST DANGEROUS thing that can happen during sexual activity. Not to say that anyone in particular is infected with something but HIV certainly is life threatening and that is the reason for wearing a condom. I was referring to the possibility that a condom could break, and as Sadie noted infections spread through small cuts and abrasions, so if the client has such an entry point for the infection and is exposed to menstrual blood he has now been exposed to possible contraction of HIV as well. In my opinion the Sp should automatically tell the client and if he still wants to book then fine, but we should be given the information as a courtesy. I wouldn't book an Sp if I had the Flu because I was horny any more than an Sp should look to conceal her period from me because she needs money. Maybe I am just an idealist.

As for Daty I wouldn't do it if I knew she was bleeding. In addition I don't stick my tongue inside, rather I pay attention to the clitoris only and don't swallow anything. I also won't Daty if I have a cold sore, burnt my mouth, or bit my lip or cheek recently. I even brush my teeth lightly, with a soft bristle brush, so as not to open small cuts in my gums. I also use Listerine before and after a session. That being said there is admittedly, still a risk involved in DATY which I and most of the clients on the board seem more than willing to take. I highly doubt the same could be said of clients KNOWINGLY booking a menstruating Sp. The two activities are just not on par with each other. I will however take the advice given from here forward and inquire about the Sp's cycle since I get the feeling there are times when we are not told.

Some of you !

I think some males love women more than others, consequently some of you, who are are not posting here, find women in her period, very very sexy !

This is my experience, maybe i am just lucky to have meet more males who love the female body too much.
I have allways despised been with boyfriends who would reject me in these days. I am so much sexier, not in the first two days of heavy flow, but afterwords, i think my skin smell nicer and sexier like iron. I guess a guy who despise the female body in her period is just not the guy i would want as my boyfriend.
I guess i want to be desired on most days of month. Why not ?

I disagree that whether one enjoys having sex with a sp on her period has anything to do with whether you love women or not ....or the degree to which you do so. Characterizing it as such , to me at least , goes down as being a "cheap shot".

I think even you would admit that it presents some restrictions that are not present at other times. Something that is perfectly fine in your personal life with your girlfriend is not ok in a sp/client scenerio.

I don't see sp's lining up offering a 30% discount because 1/3 of the most commonly desired/performed sexual acts are not available during that period. Saying that a person who chooses to purchase the full menu as opposed to the limited one does so because he loves women less is sterotyping at its worst.....mainly because it's incorrect. To say that men who really like DATY love women less than guys who don't seems rediculous to the extreme.Just the opinion of a client. ;)

i agree with train 100%.....this statement is as ridiculous as saying...that women that dont swallow cum dont love men!

What's love got to do with it?

How on earth was the connection made between an SP on her period and loving women? I never had a problem having sex with a girlfriend on her period. With an Sp, however, there is more of a safety issue. I would feel the same way if a woman I just recently started sleeping with suddenly started bleeding.

Some purport that an SP is actually safer than a woman picked up at a bar because of safe sex practices and potential regular testing. On the other hand, nothing says that said SP doesn't have unprotected sex with her boyfriend who could potentially be infected. There are no guarantees one way or the other.

As such, I don't think I would be too pleased if and SP or recent partner (in particular an SP since that's the matter at hand) started bleeding in the middle of coital... excitment. I would be even less pleased if she had prior knowledge of impending redness, so to speak.

Are we afraid of "a little blood"? Not so much... not at all, in fact. But please, it depends on the circumstance. Some girls are very self conscious about their period and refuse to have sex during that time. Some don't mind it at all... a couple of towels to protect the sheets and mattress and away you go.

Granted, the chances of contracting anything are slim if "a little blood" is present... one can get infected even in the abscence of telltale redness. But the chance is still there, and russian roulette is best played by those with nothing to lose.

No, comparing this to a like or dislike of women is pure nonsense. Seeing an SP is risky to begin with, as much as sex with a stranger is risky. But SPs see far more men than the average stranger, hell, it's their source of income. I get nervous everytime I'm with a girl and I see blood on the condom... could be menstrual blood, could be irritation... who knows? But the bottom line is, unless I know the person I'm with is safe... I'm going to worry a little.

My opinion is that an SP who knowingly works during her menstrual cycle is not being fair to the customer. And Train has a point, no discounts are being offered, not that one should, but it is a limiting factor and hence one is getting less than one payed for.

On the other hand, I have found women in my life to be particularly naughty in the days preceding the onset of their period. But that's neither here nor there.

Instead is kind of like a rubber condom with a firm thick rim that fits around the uterus, forms a 'suction' and no blood is being spilled outside. The texture of Instead is soft and thin and men don't feel the difference between Instead and the skin. It doesn't go around the walls of the vagina, only the uterus and is very compact so it doesn't hang anywhere.

It is great!!

I think all women, especially SPs should enjoy sex on their period and none of the men would even know anything. If the woman cleans herself after inserting Instead there wouldn't be a tiniest drop of blood anywhere and DATY and every possible activity should be unaffected!

[I am not advertising Instead, I used to hate them before I discovered their great use!]

Carla

P.S.: Instead can be found in almost every pharmacy in the section with tampons.

Thank you for the tip Carla.

It sounds very similar to a cervical cap.

Well...there you go SPs. Now having to reveal your intimate personal cycles to clients and strangers on the phone is not necessary. We are capable of maintaining some privacy.

Although, after all the dirty things involving body fluids that are requested from clients here on this board, I am amazed that menstruation is so reviled.

So, you want to come on my face and tongue my ass, but you can't deal with blood on your condom? I don't get it.
