I'm wondering whether to go to ClubMed or if I should try Hedonism for my vacation. I've been to Club Med twice and it was great. I always wondered about Hedonism... I'm just worried about the "skank" factor (forgive me ladies, no offense). Also, someone told me they no longer accept old birth certificates for passport renewal purposes... I thought the old passport was enough. Apparently a new birth certificate has to be ordered in order to renew... some new law or something. Sketchy at best, I know. My passport expired in 2003.

Thanks for the input.

Hi

Yes you will need your new and improved birth certificate to get a new Passport. With ref to Hedonism ll are you talking about the one in Jamaica?
I was there when I was YOUNG and FOOLISH, now I am OLD and FOOLISH
but had one heck of a time - just try and remember not to over indulge the first night!!!! Ha Ha Ha

Hedonism III

If you are planning on going to Hedonism III in Runaway Jamaica, you will need a friend as it only takes couples, but then once there, nothing will keep you from parting, if the rigth crowd is there and your partner is into it, it can get pretty wild.

Look at the Playboy site and plan to be there around the time they visit, that is when the program really gets inventive.

They do a tour around once a quarter.

If you go to dominican republic you only need the birth certificate and driver license or Sun card... I think its same for Mexico....

I have been to 3 Club Meds and Hedonism II in Jamaica. I enjoyed all of them, but Hedonism II was the best vacation I ever had in my life.

Vacations in South

Hi everyone,

I've never been to the South for vacation but planning to go either during the Spring Break or either during May of next year. Club Med and Hedonism seems to be very wild places to party and "have fun" (or get laid). For those that have been there or any other sunny destination, could you please give me more detailed informations on the stuff that might happen there, and how wild is it as I'm seriously planning my first trip to the south ever.

Thanks a lot for the details

For passports you need proof of Canadian citizenship. (Not just your previous passport.) So that can be your birth cirtificate, or your citizenship card, or whatever it is that you have. They should have a list of the acceptable documents at the passport canada site.

Pirates,

With the Club Meds it can be hit or miss depending on the week you book. I went to Turks & Caicos one time when the village was full (in April), and another time half full (in December). The atmosphere is fun, but not as wild as Hedonism II. The weather in Turks & Caicos is dry and the beaches are utterly spectacular. Much nicer than Club Med's Cancun facility, IMHO.

Hedonism II - I will explain one very vivid recollection which basically tells you all you need to know. There is a "clothing optional" beach and a nude beach at Hedonsim II. As I walked over to the nude beach, I observed a "body painting" demonstration. As I and others watched, a fully nude young man from New York, probably in his 20s, was having the face of an Aztec God painted on the head of his fully erect penis by an attractive, fully clothed Cuban woman who was a Hedonism staff member.

You really don't need to know anything else.

No, I lack imagination. Can you describe what the WOMEN do at Hedonism? The only time I have heard about Hedonism (besides the huge billboard on the Jersey Turnpike) is from a couple at work. Well, they're nice enough people, and 8 years and many pounds ago, they were possibly quite attractive people, but if they swore by Hedonism, then what caliber girls are there?
