While Ms.Eaves raises some good points, I think Mr.McCormick's issue would be more precisely termed as "extra charges", rather than overcharging. That would definately be a good reason for investigation into the club Scores.

Actually just a strip club version of the eternal price vs value debate.

Indeed, the author of the op-ed analyses HDH/LDL price spread (as applied to strip clubs) so very elloquently. Allow me to quote:

"This is the economic logic relied on by purveyors of luxury goods. It's not about the utility of the product. It's about making the customer feel as if he has arrived.

Strip clubs, particularly high-end ones like Scores, provide a luxury service. That $3,000 price tag on a bottle of Champagne isn't just for the beverage; it's part of the price of the experience. Mr. McCormick probably didn't go to Scores strictly to see topless women, or even for the physical contact and potential sexual gratification of a lap dance. Both experiences can be had in simpler, cheaper ways.

Rather, he and his colleagues probably went because being surrounded by fawning, semi-naked, Champagne-flute-wielding women was for them a symbol of success. It's like hiring a chauffeured limousine: a taxi would get you there, but without the aesthetic experience."

True. You don't go see an HDH for the sex, you pay for the experience. The class, and the good talk. Sex isn't sex when you can have a high experience and in this case, I don't see why or how one can go to court and argue the 'I-am-drunk' argument.
That said, you can laugh at the following frivolous lawsuits:
1. A guy sued for only hitting on ugly girls because he was drunk from the beer.
2. Another sued Molson because there is not enough warning labels on the bottle, thus he was arrested for drunk driving.
I wonder if I can sue someone for being stupid.

Catch 22

The Yossarian bit has worn thin."If you sue a school for allegedly making you stupid you cannot win because obviously you are not stupid if you know enough to sue." With similar catch 22 reasoning applied to all possible spins for your question.
