Need help with my French expose oral..

I'm trying to say: Then I reached out for my paddle. Next my canoe tipped over.

This is after I dropped the paddle in the water.

I will also appreciate if someone told me how to pronounce 'canoe' in French.

    Merci beaucoup!

I need somebody else to confirm that orallover wasn't joking..

It really sucks to be bad in French!

    Thank you, Bob.

Ok, next phrase: She yelled out every French swearing she knew.

    Merci!

    Orallover was kidding...

    The next phrase could be
Elle a crié tous les jurons français qu'elle connaissait.

    full translation:

Alors j'ai tenté de récupérer ma pagaie. Puis mon canoe s'est reversé. Ceci est après que j'aie échappé ma pagaie à l'eau.

Depending on what is said before this phrase, your first word "then" could be translated as "ensuite", "alors" or puis"...For the rest, you could say "Alors je me suis étiré vers ma rame. Mais mon canoe se renversa".
Yes, Orallover was either kidding, or he used Babelfish to translate your phrases. The translation did make me smile, though...
Canoe should be pronounced as "ka - no- eh...
I hope this will help you, Carla. Good luck in class.

I'm a little confused.. In French you have three words for a paddle: palette, pagaie and rame?

They all mean the same thing.. or is one more appropriate than others?

Thanks to all bored/helpful people on this board!
