I thought it was about time that someone took a poll on whether the membership thinks that Tom Brady, Quarterback of the New England Patriots, is Innocent, Guilty of Cheating or Guilty of Non-Cooperation with the NFL regarding the Deflategate Scandal? I've purposely used the term of "Tom Brady's Part" in the title of this poll as I'm not asking the members to judge if cheating occurred. That's too wide a subject. No we're just limiting the voting and discussion to Tom Brady's part in the affair. Further to give Brady the benefit of the doubt there's an alternate potential fiinding of Guilty of Non-Cooperation, a different charge.

If you judge Mr. Brady to be quilty of any of the charges, then we'll present an array of penalties and/or fines to the membership. This is only going to be a 7 day on this poll as the New York Judge in this case has made it clear that he wants a resolution by the end of Pre-Season Training. We're going to need some time, IF THERE IS A PENALTY PHASE (NOT SAYING THERE'S GOING TO BE ONE)

P.S. THE POLL IS ANONYMOUS

Although not necessarily statisticly significant, the early voting here suggests a more favorable outcome of the poll than Goddell's arbitration decision suggests.

2 Innocent
1 Guilty
2 Guilty of Failing to Cooperate with the NFL

Stick this in you psychotic agenda:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports...0ee_story.html

Wells never asked for Tom Brady’s cellphone and didn’t require it. “Keep the phone,”
Wells told Brady and his agent. He insisted his investigation was thorough without it. “I don’t think it undermines in any way the conclusions of the report,” he said. Those were his exact words. So were these, after interrogating Brady for more than five hours: “Totally cooperative,” Wells said of Brady’s testimony.

It’s only when you go back and examine the Wells report and study Goodell’s written decision more closely that you discover the phone was never demanded as evidence. You also discover Footnote No. 11.

Goodell’s own buried footnote says that during the appeal before him, Brady and his agents furnished comprehensive cellphone records, including records of 10,000 text messages, and offered to help find and reconstruct all relevant communications.

This VOIDS the 3rd choice of your sham poll. There never was any obstruction, only Goodell lying about it.

Maybe I don't know enough about football but here are my questions:
1- Why is it an advantage to play with a deflated ball?
2- Don't both teams play with the same ball? So advantage in point 1 isn't an advantage really?

1- Why is it an advantage to play with a deflated ball/

There isn't. It's irrelevant anyway. The game that caused all this was the AFC Championship game against the Colts. With the allegedly deflated ball the Patriots lead 17-7 at halftime when the balls in question were removed and so-called regulation controlled balls were used in the 2nd half where the Patriots scored 28 unanswered points, then went on to beat the Seahawks with regulation controlled balls the whole game. CASE CLOSED.

2- Don't both teams play with the same ball? So advantage in point 1 isn't an advantage really?

No they don't. Each team is allowed to put their own balls in play. However, if there was any advantage deflating balls remember 75% of the Colts footballs tested were also deflated. If it's an advantage then why did the Colts do so shitty with their own deflated balls.

Speaking of balls, if the thread starter had any guts the poll would be public so we could see the same haters, including himself are taking the same position regardless of facts they always have. But he's too chicken.

Well, so far it's 2 to 1 that Tom Brady has some type of guilt in this situation.

Second, I made this poll

because I LOVE MYSELF!

we know.

BTW, I figured out who CA is

You've been dwelling on that for so long?

This poll is about one thing. Your need to pander to hatred based on misinformation versus the incredibly bad and biased process the judge is about to expose. You need this poll to say public opinion is on your side because the truth ISN'T!!!

And you're INCOMPETENT. The basis of everything against Brady is the Wells Report...you call Wells own statements "useless dribble". I agree, but that destroys your position thoroughly, showing you're incompetent to understand this whole thing.

Cheers,

Merlot

I see only one problem with the poll, there should be a 4th choice. Guilty of both cheating AND failing to cooperate with the nfl.

Well now we can add a new skill to Merlot's skills, that of FAKING POSTS. While it's true that I've chopped up his ad nauseam post in order to save bandwidth (per the Mod's instructions), I've never faked a post to call a name. A new low in posting and something I'd think the Mods would be sensitve to. If not, I'll know that when looking at future garbage (Merlot's posts) on this board.

So he lied about ignoring me after he promised. Now he's faking posts. Creating quite a reputation for yourself Merlot. Reminds me again of that poster's name that Fred won't let me mention.

Strange I can remember where I would have gotten banned for directly insulting a member not long ago. It's was OK to call a particular action incompetent but not a member. Again, noted for future reference.

The current status of the poll doesn't seem to be pointing to Brady's being guilty of anything. With only 18 votes apportioned approximately 50/50 on that point, it looks like the membership is somewhat deadlocked on any guilt.

Honest fans,

Merlot sometimes I have a hard time figuring out if you're just a fool...

You and others have been doing this for months, including tampering with my posts. Now you cry when you get a small dose back. You're like a thief who breaks into a house then sues the victims when he gets injured while committing the crime. Hypocrisy be thy name.

So far INNOCENT is the strongest single vote, almost 50%. Now cry about that too.

Actually Vert, changing someones post/words in a negative way towards the other person is against the rules. Not sure if it ever made it into Merb's offical rule book but I do know Mod 8 made a post once stating it would be met with suspensions from now on if done again. That was a few years ago.

As far as the "Shady One", As long as brady gets any time off, this real and honest fan will be a happy camper. One game, 2 games, 3 or 4...it does not matter as long as he gets something for his cheating and dishonest ways. With that comes a cloud over his head for the rest of his life, as a cheater just like his boss, belicheat and the entire patty's orginization for that matter. For a brief time when some called the patriots as Americas Team, they now are considered by many as Americas Shame.
