They are certainly one of the worst, like most U.S. Carriers

I go to Holland , and go out of my way to bypass a direct Delta flight

I travel extra to take the KLM plane out of JFK

World of difference

Haven't flown delta in ages, and there's a reason for that.
I'm with these 2 guys above, I'll pay extra to fly a better airline, you really do get what you pay for.

I really like Delta because the airline has the most flights in different time frames.

I've booked with Delta to go Europe twice, both times I ended up on KLM or Air France planes as they were codeshare.

Honestly, as long as you have a seat that's all that matters. Take a sleeping pill, wake up at your destination, and spend that extra money you saved on things you like.

Bingo. I'm flying to Italy next month out of Montreal. Booked with United airmiles, flying Air Canada and Lufthansa.

You pay for this ticket or was it free? If its free, that's the best ticket (using airmiles). If anyone pays for a United flight oversea's (a flight that would earn 10k airmiles or more), beware of their new miles program. Instead of earning say 18,000 airmiles to bangkok and back, United will give you around 5,000. Not worth buying a ticket from them when you can fly on American or Delta and earn the 18k.

Yes, United points are now based on tickets costs (and also on fare class I guess).

If you can change your address to a Canadian one (they'll ask you proofs thought), you then go back to the old system.
