My picks this week

Indy over Tennessee (I'm still on track to win my bet that Indy goes 16-0)
Dallas over NYG (making them the odds on favorite to win the NFC East)
NE over NYJ (The Patriots aren't THAT bad)
San Diego over Oakland (LT runs wild)

Go UCLA, Beat USC!!! Joe Pa wants another title! WE ARE...PENN STATE!

I love the Silver & Black but I'm actually hoping they will lose the rest of their games so they can get a shot at USC's QB Matt Leinart in the draft. Kerry Collins is way too inconsistent and isn't the type of guy who can lead the Raiders to the promised land.

Dallas over NYG-(Manning has a rifle for a arm but is inconsistant, i expect a huge game by Drew after last weeks heartbreaker).

Tennessee over Indy( i know i know i keep picking Indy to lose but they keep winning, they will lose eventually and if i keep picking them to lose then 1 week i will be right :) )

Buffalo over Miami-(big Sam Adams is back and Zach Thomas is out which means no 100 yards for Ronnie or Ricky and 150+ yards for the self proclaimed best running back in football(Mcgahee).

Bonus pick- Jermaine Taylor to knock out Bernard Hopkins, the fighter that loses the first fight almost always loses the rematch in a dominating fashion, rematches are never close.

Eating Crow.

Hats off to the Giants.

They have a very solid team other than their QB and their place kicker.
Only problem for Dallas was Drew Bledsoe decided to lay a bigger egg than Eli.

Damn USC! They are freakin good.

The game yesterday was a tough one to swallow - Have to give it to the Giants defense, they played one hell of game.

USC are good BUT wow so is Texas! I know its early but I'm taking Texas in the rose Bowl.

Other BCS Picks:

Notre Dame over Ohio state (Fiesta Bowl)
Georgia over West Virgina (Sugar Bowl - even though it kills me to pick Georgia)
Penn State over Florida State (Orange Bowl)
South Carolina Over Missouri (Independance - had to throw that one in for the Ol' Ball Coach, if he had of gone back to Florida there may have been 3 unbeaten teams this year)

How could the Bills find a way to blow the one??

How did i know that Buffalo would find a way to blow the game?? How??? I didn't even blink when Miami scored the winning TD in the final seconds. This was their 2nd greatest comeback in team history!!!

I don't even think Losman threw the ball at Eric Moulds once!!!

I have to agree. If there is a way to lose, Buffalo will find it.

Now I'm not sure if this team has it's own curse, and if so,
is it from losing those 4 Super Bowls or from losing that
playoff game in Tennessee on the final kick-off a few years
ago after they seemingly had the game wrapped up.

Whatever the case, they have nothing but bad luck!

Eagles have a sex change...

The "game" I saw last night was one of the most grotesque ever on MNF.
This has got to be one of the most amazing transformations ever for a Super Bowl contender within the course of one year. The Eagles who at the beggining of the year were favored by most odds makers to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl have become an embarassment to the city of Philadelphia. Looks like they had a sex change operation and came out as Turkeys.

No, they don't need TO at all. I blame the ownership, but then again I really don't care. This is what happens to your teams hopes of championship glory when you cheer at other athletes life threatening injuries, and put "bounties" out to encourage cheap shots against your opponents. Kind of like a karma thing going on here. Philadelphia fans still don't get it. TO is their best friend, if they want to win another game this year. If the ownership wanted to throw the season they could have done it much earlier than this and gotten a better lottery pick.

Actually yes.

Dallas Cowboys' All Pro receiver Michael Irvin suffered a severe neck injury on a play where he went to the turf and was hit in such a way that his spinal cord was severely compressed and pinched to the point that he was literally paralyzed and had to be taken off the field in an Ambulance and rushed to a hospital where pressure had to be relieved from his spinal cord in an emergency procedure. He wasn't able to walk for quite some time and Drs. told him the injury had in effect ended his career due to a problem they found with his spinal column being especially narrow where the Cord runs through it. If he ever played again he could have been paralyzed permanently with any such hit to the head/neck area again.

Of course players get injured all the time in the NFL and some are quite serious in nature. 99.99% of the time when this happens the stadium will be rather quiet and when the player is carted off the field there will be a round of applause to show good sportsmanship and concern for the injured player. In Philadelphia that Sunday however Michael Irvin was RAUCOUSLY BOOED as he lay MOTIONLESS on the field and when he was put in the ambulance. TV shots caught large numbers of Philadelphia fans cheering the replay of the hit despite the fact that they knew he was severely injured due to the extended delay of the game and the presence of the ambulance. One of the most disgusting displays in sports history by a group of thousands of people who obviously lacked class on a basic level. Michael Irvin may be a drug addict but he did not deserve that kind of hateful disrespect.

The other subject is in reference to the infamous "Buddy Bowl". Buddy Ryan the ex defensive co-ordinator of the Super bowl champion Chicago Bears was given the head coaching job in Philadelphia a few years after the Bears 86 season, I don't remember exactly what year it was. Ryan had a reputation for being tough and designing great defenses but he also had a nasty streak in him and was known for encouraging unportsmanlike behavior on the field.

Before a game with who else but the Dallas Cowboys in the early nineties, just before the Cowboys began their Super Bowl dynasty, Buddy Ryan told the players in his locker room one Sunday that he would be giving out bounties amounting into the tens of thousands of dollars to any player who could injure or knock out of the game certain Dallas players who were key to the Cowboys team. The game was marred by blatant cheap shots and resulting fights which prompted the league to investigate the allegations which were found to be true at the admission of several Eagles players. Ryan was fined for his conduct but never apologized for anything he said or did and still hasn't to this day. Buddy Bowl was the title given to possibly one of the cheapest most unsportsmanlike contests ever held in any sport.

IMHO Karma is still exacting payment from the Eagles for their past transgressions against sportsmanship.

And of course we can't forget the G-Men's defence CREAMING the Cowboys.

They certainly did a great job Dude. I doubt anyone expected Bledsoe, who entered the day as the second highest rated passer in the NFC, to have such a pathetic performance. Michael Strahan hanging off his back all game long certainly didn't help. With a one game lead now, all the Giants have to do is play even with the Cowboys over the last 4 games. More concerning to you should be Elis' second poor performance against Dallas. If they should meet in the playoffs I doubt Drew Bledsoe will play so badly again, Eli I will expect that from.
