The Edmonton Oilers have traded forward Nail Yakupov to the St. Louis Blues.

The Oilers receive forward Zach Pochiro and a conditional third round pick in 2017.

The news shouldn't be entirely surprising since Yakupov has been rumoured to be on the trading block for over a year. He may wind up becoming the largest draft bust in history after the likes of Alexandre Daigle and Patrick Stefan.

Just my opinion but I am hoping that he does well in St. Louis, there is a reason he was the number one pic. When a team gives up on a player the player gives up on himself, what Yak needed was a new team that will have some faith in him. One reason that I hope he succeeds is that he was a great person around Edmonton, he would that homeless people and feed them in restaurants and various other things along those lines.

You are correct & it was my error. I remembered starting a new thread a few weeks ago, but now realized i posted in the wrong thread (i've since deleted my recent posts in this thread). Is it possible to lock down this thread since it's now in the past and prevent future mistakes? Thanks.
