I guess I am very biased being a john and meeting so many happy hookers that make a really good living.

This has been bouncing around Twitter today. Probably a publicity stunt by someone who was going to quit anyway.

But a low-level full time worker for Yelp in San Francisco openly pointed out that she does not make enough from her job to survive. I had all the normal reactions:

    1. Get another job if your current job is not paying you what you are worth. If no other jobs are available, yet a significant portion of the population outearns you, perhaps the market is telling you something. See numbers 2 and 3, below.

    2. Perhaps San Francisco, New York City, Honolulu, and London are not viable options for a workplace location. Cost of living should enter into the decision of where to work.

    3. If you are in San Francisco because you have family and friends there, perhaps you need to live at home or have eight roommates if you want to stay there.

But the john in me thinks the obvious. She is young and therefore probably hotter than the vast majority of women nationwide. Why not sell some tail? There is always a market, it pays well, and has low entry costs. With the seeking arrangement and sugar baby sites, she would always get at least a free meal during the "interview".

This article should at least make sex workers feel good about their decisions and the fact that they have achieved a better economic status than this whiny chick.

It baffles me as to why so few women seem to pursue the obvious. There are an almost unlimited number of guys always willing to lend a helping dick, and an envelope with some cash.

She does exude a sense of entitlement. I have some sympathy for her and other young people because they have been misled into spending a lot of money on college where they wasted four years studying various subjects that end in the word "studies." Then they graduated into a slow growth economy that has not been creating enough good jobs for college grads and lots of other people. Yet I wouldn't be surprised if she plans to vote for Bernie Sanders whose economic ideas make Obama look like Ronald Reagan by comparison.

Good advice...each generation has to learn these lessons the hard way but the current generation seems to be having a harder time than previous generations accepting the facts of economic life.

I probably would not advise her to become an escort, but I would respect her if she made the decision to do so. It's definitely not a job for every woman, but it's interesting that some women from many different backgrounds do turn to escorting to make money quickly (though not always easily.)
Strasser: By the way, the murder of the couriers, what has been done?
Renault: Realizing the importance of the case, my men are rounding up twice the usual number of suspects.
Heinze: We already know who the murderer is.
Strasser: Good. Is he in custody?
Renault: Oh, there's no hurry. Tonight he'll be at Rick's. Everybody comes to Rick's.
