What a game! I can't remember the last time I saw such a good game, hard hitting, fast skating, nice goals!! Im so proud to be a Canadien right now, its actually kinda sad  ....

But one can wonder what would have happened if they had called the russian goal in time! Would Canada still have won?

Team Canada put on a perfect display of hockey, wow these kids were great. They allowed 6 GA in 6 games, think about that for a minute thats just incredible! Couldn't be more proud of them today, it's a great day to be Canadien.

Hats off to Coach Sutter who just won back to back Gold Medals with a perfect 12-0 record, and a stunning 13 GA in 12 games!

The americans just didnt come together like the Canadiens and the Russians did! Sux for them but they could have predicted that seeing how everyone of them wanted to be the superstar of the team...
The real reason Canada won, or so I think, if Sutter! What he did with those kids is just amazing!! Only 6 goals against! That 1 per game... They didn't let in a single goal in the playoff stage! They just got better and better! If he were to take the NJ job, I think we would see the devils of the past: D, D and mostly D!!

Team Canada's performance was very impressive.

Much more impressive than the fans who booed Team USA when they played the Russians the other night. What a total lack of class. No matter what your opinion of the USA is, a junior hockey tournament is not the venue to display your ignorance. These kids are here to play hockey. Period!

What about...

I am surprised nobody mentionned Justin Pogge. An incredible display of talent. I hate the Leafs so much so I am mad that they drafted him... and goalie of tournament Rassk.

The def squad was amazing too. Parent, Staal, Bourdon, Barker and Letang were the most impressive. Is Barker the only one who will be too old next year? If they come back, we might be 3 for 3.

And, of course, there is Sutter. He seems like a total a-hole but it works, it seems to bring the best out of everyone (except Latendresse :( ). Kudos Sutter!

As for the Americans go, like mtlman2005 said: too much individualism. Especially Kessel. The kid is very good, but he is no team player. Unlike 2004, there were no dedicated players such as Suter, Kessler, O'Sullivan and Parise. My highest praises go to Ray Bourque's son, Christopher.

Latendresse arrived nearly 20 lbs heavier than he was at the Habs training camp. No excuse for this! In the first couple of games, he played on the first two lines and had strict orders from the coaching staff to play his usual physical style. He didn't. He tried to play a finesse game without much hitting. Well, by the 3rd game, they had enough and only played him occasionally on the 3rd and 4th lines. (...) He was dubbed as being lazy by his coach, whom i believe was Dave Chambers.

I think it was Dave King, not sure. I know he was overweight and he did not play they way he could. I said that Sutter brought the best of every players except Latendresse. I think he fell overconfident after the habs training camp and let himself go thinking he could cruise through Juniors. He needs to think about his future right now.

I watched the game and the fans weren't booing Team USA, they were booing everytime Jack Johnson touched the puck becuz of what he did in the game versus Canada!
Yes, the fans would cheer a bit more when Russia scored  but thats just preference!

Was he the cheap shot artist who decked the Canadian player with the elbow almost from behind at the end of the game?

If it was he should have been booted from the tourney and the fans have every right to boo the guy.

yep that was him... and for sure he should have been suspended...
