Hey EB, I use a regular Gillette or Schick razor. Not the disposable kind. I pay a little extra for the blades but it's worth it. I get more shaves than with the disposable kind.

The key to a good shave is opening the pours of the skin. I achieve this with a very very hot facecloth placed on face and/or head. Then use a shaving brush to apply the cream or gel.

Hope it helps.

Look behind you.
I joined "Dollar Shave Club" and for $10 they send me 4 x five blade cartridges every month.

I shave my face every day and only use one blade a month and it comes to less than $10 a month, four blades for $30. Gillette three blade.
If my head was not so fucking big I might shave my head as hair is slowly fleeing.

I have tried using blades on my skull but I tend to cut the scalp more than I do the face. Not sure why but I use electric on the skull and blades on the face. My skull just doesn't take blades well. I have tried the hot facecloth and it doesn't work.

I use Bic sensitive skin disposibles on the face. But I need a new electric razor for the skull.

As for right now, I do not shave my head. I use a clipper with a "0" blade and use it both on my face and head to get a nice and evenly trimmed beard and head. I have found it saves me the trouble from actually having to shave the head and looks just as good. Something to consider.

Johnny Walks,

This is a wonderful option if one has a full head of hair- if not, you end up with the Larry David/Bernie Sanders look, and when you are a younger guy, it's not a look you want or need to have.

EB,

Thanks for calling me younger, and thinking I have a full head of hair. Neither is accurate, I have been balding since I was in my late 20's and I am no spring chicken myself. That being said my father has taken to doing the same thing, sans the beard and he loves it. But to each his own.

However back to the original question, no I cannot attest to the quality of said product, and although the ad looks promising and interesting, the ad does have a bit of the look and feel one of those late night infomercial. That being said, it looks like it might be an interesting product, if you do end up buying it I would be curious to get your feedback and let the rest of know if it is any good.

Have a great evening my friend!

Johnny

JW,

I am seriously considering the Bald Eagle Skull Shaver. I read some reviews and most I read were more impressed by how few passes were needed to shave the skull, than they were by the closeness of shave. I am more interested in closeness of shave, whether it takes 10 passes or 4 to get the stubble shaved. I was hoping for some feedback by users here.

Woo hoo! A topic that I have some experience with. I buzz my skull with a regular trimmer and finish it in the shower. I prefer the multiple blade premium blades, nothing to good for this noggin! If I dont have one readily available a regular double bladed disposible can make do.. The key to a great shave however is the cream, isnt it always the case though? I use nivea shave cream that comes in a tube. It has such a high lanolin content that its like the old BrylCream add, A little dab will do it! Wow, did that ever age me! It offers an amazing coverage and offers such a close shave. |I havent yet waxed my head and would love to hear anybody who has experience with the wax experience. thanks all

Ironically I also use Nivea Shaving Cream.

I bought the Gillette Mach 3 blades over the weekend and they gave me a very smooth shave both on face and noggin. I don't know how many shaves these Mach 3s last for, but I was duly impressed by this product as the Bic blades routinely nick and cut if I use them on the scalp.
