WOW

Anyone see tonight's game? Like only two players showed up to play tonight...

Kostitsyn was awesome! He actually put in an effort tonight along with maybe Begin...

I think this firing of Julien wasn't the solution...

I wonder what awaits next.

So much for trading Theo to Vancouver rumors...LOL

Theory of a lost cause..

What? You thought that firing Julien would have changed the momentum..

I told my friends not to get excited when they won 2 in a row, they just wanted to impress Gainey, bunch of losers!

Now, I always had a theory about playing for the CH, a theory that no one in my inner circle wants to listen to..

Here it is:

People don't want to play in Montreal because the media put too much emphasis on the francophone prerequisite and that make people so sick that they want to bolt out on Montreal or tell their agents that they don't want to be traded here:

ex: the media complained when Koivu was chosen as captain, he doesn't speak a word of french, they always talk about hiring a french coach or GM instead of an anglo, they always say that the french have a bigger heart than an anglo, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH

They are so jaded that they make me puke ... they just don't get it. In the sports world, it's the results that count, not the race or origin of the athlete. Look at the soccer world in England.

Anyone in MERB can vouch for my theory?

They now have both, a gm and coach who's anglo.
Koivu's been playing here for 12 years now. You'd think he'd learn a few words of french out of respect for the fans who supported him when he was sick.
Is so hard to say oui,bonjour,merci,ect...?
The fact remains, the medias and fans have always been harder towards quebecers;Savard,Roy,Brisebois,Goeffrion,Theodore,ect..have all been booed in montreal.
Most soccer players in England speak English, btw.
Have a nice .

On the bright side...

Most of the Eastern Conference teams have not fared well against Vancouver this year. I believe the Canucks are something like 8-1 against teams from the East. The Eastern teams may get the bulk of media coverage but the balance of power has shifted to the West this year. Watch out for those Canucks!

The Canadiens just got hammered again and are now 2 and 3 under the great Bob Gainey. Maybe it wasn't Julien who was the problem after all eh Bob? And similarly the Penguins have now lost 9 or 10 in a row - how can that be, after they dumped Ed Olcyk for the great Michel "The Motivator" Therrien?

Maybe somewhere else he will have less distractions outside the rink. Here, he's playing superstar but doesn't act like this on the ice. Commercial contracts, association with rock band, family in show business, young fans love him for his look. I guess that's too much for him to handle. How about a trade like Luongo vs Theodore. I guess that both teams will benefit from a trade like that.

And what would be the benefits for the Panthers?

Yeah, at the beginning of the season Florida wanted theo and ryder for luango and a pick, if they have 1/2 a brain, they will probably ask for a lot more or not even ask!
I say the habs finish the season with theo, make the playoff hopefully, and in the off season bring in the guns! Luango, Chara, Redden, Richards... and im forgetting most, are all UFA that would probably come to Montreal! Luango and Richards lived closed to montreal, and Chara and Redden are in Ottawa so Montreal is a step up!!! I don't see the habs making any moves unless its something HUGE: theo, ribeiro, dagenais, sourray, zednik and bulis for stuff!

On another note, Dallas just called up Traverse! Let's see what he has learn! (watch him score 25 goals this season......)

Chara & Redden are very happy here & will be re-signed by the Senators! This is Muckler's top priority & the cap is going up to 45 million.

Who knows! If they don't get the cup, Muckler might go after a good 2 line winger and might just let one of them go! With the D that they have, one less wouldn't be TOO bad! It would hurt, but...

And, money can go a long way ;)

After Theo's performance last night against Carolina (yanked again after 5 goals) I'm going to have to start wearing a brown paper bag over my head to Habs games. :(

DO SOMETHING GAINEY !!! OR MONTREAL WILL MISS THE PLAYOFFS

In order for the Habs to make it to the playoffs they will have to contend for that eighth spot. Which in turn means that they will have to some how find a way to beat out the Leafs. Although the Leafs are also experiencing troubles of their own, I don't see them getting any worse. The Canadiens however, seem to be suffering from a big coach change and lack of net presence, and do seem to be getting worse. But we'll see, The Leafs and Habs play each other three times in March. Good time to knock some points off each others totals for the final playoff qualifications.

It doesn't matter if the Canadiens or Leafs make the playoffs. Both teams suck big time and will be gone after the first round anyway. Toronto last won the cup in 67. Montreal won in 93 and 86 but both were flukes - before that Montreal won in 79 which was the last time they deserved to win. The two teams are like my grandparents - they were once young and strong but they're old and dying now. At least my grandparents are following the normal course of nature but Montreal and Toronto self-destructed through complacency, arrogance, greed and stupidity - much like Jeff Reardon.
