I believe the official nominations for this year's Oscars will be made public this coming Tuesday. The French-Candian movie ''C.R.A.Z.Y'' is Canada's selection for best foreign movie of the year. The film tells the tale (reportedly the filmmaker's biopic) of a kid's youth, one who is relentlessly dogged by major sexual identity issues, growing up amid a family of oblivious, and often ungrateful, siblings and a macho father. The tale is endearing, and the filmaking is masterful. The actors, especially the main protagonist and his siblings, offer flawless performances. I don't know about you, but I have my fingers crossed, wishing it will win a nomination. BTW, it took the filmaker ( Jean-Marc Vallée) roughly 7 years to complete his movie .
