Brady now stands as the Greatest Quarterback of All Time. One sports analyst goes even further saying he has surpassed his hero Michael Jordan as the Greatest Clutch Athlete of All time. With all the road blocks put in the path of the Patriot's season by the NFL this year before the greatest comeback performance of all time on top of it being Brady's and the Patriot's 5th Super Bowl Championship it's easy to see the validity of the argument.

One of the great joys of the victory, aside from the enormous vindication of just winning, was seeing Roger Goodell fighting to smile and having to shower accolades on Brady and the organization like a beaten dog despite everything he personally tried to do with great malice to wreck the season for the team. All the while as the fans loudly booed his sleazy butt live on television. As I predicted neither Brady nor Belichick would make any hint of reference to anything that was done to them. But Patriots owner Bob Kraft did, as predicted. Patriots fans would have loved it if Kraft had blasted Goodell and the NFL harshly. All Kraft did though was make a light allusion to the last two years and say this Super Bowl Victory was the "SWEETEST". Pretty light considering the very hard feelings fans and the team have against all the unjust charges and insults thrown at them in an investigation that was led by NFL insiders instead of the independents promised. Now we hear the NFL hierarchy is ANGRY at Kraft for that light reference and at Matt Patricia the Patriots defensive coordinator for wearing a Goodell clown shirt during the flight to Houston.

To Goodell and the NFL hierarchy...we are overjoyed you are pissed. What do you expect when you railroad the NFL's marquis franchise only because of pressure from the other owners who can't find a way to beat us. Do what you will. We showed you what you get for your sleazy kangaroo judgements last time. If you want to get a repeat of your humiliation...GO FOR IT! :D

Kiss the rings Goodell - All 5 of them. "ROGER THAT!"

Cheers

There's no way 5 rings are all deflated. #Kobe

While I am not a Pats fan, I do have to tip my hat to them for that epic comeback.

Why isn't the NFL making constant in-game checks to assure teams and fans of consistent quality? http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ce-to-fully-understand-football-air-pressure/

Any young kid who got together with his pals to toss and kick a football on a cold Sunday morning before a game knows it's necessary to have a pump handy. Just ask the New York Giants, who got a pass for the same deflation offense, about the natural and inevitable problems of keeping footballs at required PSI. So cold weather and players often between 250 to 300 lbs pounding on a ball can't have an effect. LOL!!!

The whole issue is pathetic because so much of it is really about the inability of most teams to keep up with New England's quality of success since 2001 and the disbelief it can be done honestly because of their own failure to achieve such consistency within their organizations. The result this year after so much disruption and distraction, plus the spectacular evidence of the miraculous comeback in the Super Bowl, proves the true state of higher quality of organization, strategy, and talent in New England that other teams just can't keep up with, and so need to find faults to dodge their inadequacies.

I never understood why they even pick that game to complain about the balls. Indy would have lost either way.

And what NE is doing isn't hard to copy, but most teams don't have the patience in implementing the correct system. Coach B said it himself, it took him like 4-5 years to even get it off the ground.

Teams get stuck on drafting big names...one big factor. They seem to love stars. Belichick often gives away higher draft picks to look for what is referred to as "value players". Of course it doesn't always work out, but it does more often than not. The other maddening thing is the trading, lack of resigning, or dumping of proven impact players. Ty Law, Willie McGinest, Jamie Collins, Chandler Jones and many more almost on a yearly basis, greatly frustrating Patriots fans but nearly always still coming up with effective replacements. I wouldn't be surprised to see Gronk go in a year or two considering his injury frequency despite his enormous talent. No wonder people claim Belichick is a genius made of pure GUTS.

Yep. And he let players that are going to demand high salaries walk and in return he gets draft picks to gamble on hungry talents... except the greatest QB of all time of course! Even with that one year when TB was out with the leg injury, it was still a winning season.

Seeing that Tommy-boy = Pro-Trump, it is easier these days to like him but he plays in a totally different era than the "greats" played in so no i can't put him as the best of all time, at least not yet.

Back in the day you had Bradshaw, Starr, Staubach, Montana and others calling their own plays and not a coach. Players back then did not have all the luxuries that players of the modern era are fortunate to have. Equipment is much better now than then as well.

Win two more SB's Tommy and i will call you the best of all time, but you get a A for your political beliefs :thumb:

Yes, the game has definitely changed over the decades. They no longer allow players to hit like they did back when Jack Lambert or Dick Butkus played and we can easily say the game is geared more towards the offense with all the calls they get nowadays.

Sometimes I do wonder though, if players would throw their bodies around like they do if we don't have all these modern protective gears. Strip all their protection and we might be able to eliminate all these crazy tackles... or watch a ruby match. :usa2:

Yeah they've reigned in dirty plays so common in the so-called golden age.

Listen to this at around 1:00 where Colin Cowherd speaks about the use of "FORMULA'S" by other teams. The main thrust is the Patriots never ever rely on or become beholden to star players to win. Every week a different hero with Brady and Belichick the only real constants. Dion Lewis against Houston, Chris Hogan against Pittsburgh, James White against Atlanta. No stars just players. Never a top 5 draft pick, only two top 10 picks yet they keep finding the right players for the right moment despite a frequent rotation of impact players in and out each year.

Hey all,

In case you missed the most exciting Super Bowl ever you will have another chance. The game was so spectacular there's a book and movie being made of it. The focus, of course, is on the life of the Greatest Quarterback to EVER play the game...Tom Terrific Brady. We are told the story will have all of the drama from the Deflategate FARCE to ultimate vindication with the greatest single comeback in all of sports history.

It should be easy to find an actor to play Goodell. Just have Jack Nicholson repeat his character from "The Shining"...ax included. :D

Brady's Super Bowl jersey(S) found. The jerseys from Super Bowls XLIX and LI were found in Mexico in the possession of a credentialed Mexican media member. Also found is a helmet believed to have belonged to Broncos defenseman Von Miller. Brady's retrieved game worn jersey for Super Bowl LI has been estimated to be worth $500,000. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...y-found-possession-international-media-member

While I am not a Pats fan, I do have to tip my hat to them for that epic comeback.

Yeah absolutely you have to give them credit but lets face it they were beaten and Atlanta fell apart on offence in the secong half. Looks to me like Shanny Jr made a mistake moving away from the run game that had been so successful in the first half. Maybe Matt Patricia managed to adjust to take away the lanes but I didnt really see Kyle try them before shifting his gameplan. And that pass attempt when Ryan was thrown for a loss when they were within FG range- whoa- you have to admit the Pats have benefitted from very weird OC calls in their last two SB victories.
And while Brady is one of the greatest QBs to ever walk on a football field its really not possible to crown him GOAT. The Pats are an awesome organization from top to bottom and that is what really accounts for their success. They have great ownership and coaches (Belly is clearly one of the very best ever and is on his way to Canton). Their success resides in their system and Brady is very much a system QB. Aaron Rodgers can do anything Tom Brady can do. He can also do things you cannot ask Brady to do. In terms of ability to play the position I think Rodgers is better than Brady in his prime (though even at his age he has not lost much if anything).
Pats are going to be even better in 2017 than they were in 2016. They have had a great offseason. Brandin Cooks, Stephon Gilmore? Wow.

Don't forget two things... Brady takes the ball from center shotgun-style on about 90% of the times and the Pats have had the most YAC in the league for about 5 years in a row... That says a lot about the system in which this team is playing.

Their system relies on great defense, superb special teams and a short field for their offense...
