Exclamation CNN Health: Fellatio & swallowing help fight breast cancer

Women who perform the act of fellatio and swallow semen on a regular basis, one to two times a week, may reduce their risk of breast cancer by up to 40 percent, a North Carolina State University study found.

Doctors had never suspected a link between the act of fellatio and breast cancer, but new research being performed at North Carolina State University is starting to suggest that there could be an important link between the two.

In a study of over 15,000 women suspected of having performed regular fellatio and swallowed the ejaculatory fluid, over the past ten years, the researchers found that those actually having performed the act regularly, one to two times a week, had a lower occurance of breast cancer than those who had not. There was no increased risk, however, for those who did not regularly perform.

"I think it removes the last shade of doubt that fellatio is actually a healthy act," said Dr. A.J. Kramer of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, who was not involved in the research. "I am surprised by these findings, but am also excited that the researchers may have discovered a relatively easy way to lower the occurance of breast cancer in women."

The University researchers stressed that, though breast cancer is relatively uncommon, any steps taken to reduce the risk would be a wise decision.

"Only with regular occurance will your chances be reduced, so I encourage all women out there to make fellatio an important part of their daily routine," said Dr. Helena Shifteer, one of the researchers at the University. "Since the emergence of the research, I try to fellate at least once every other night to reduce my chances."

The study is reported in Friday's Journal of Medical Research.

In 1991, 43,582 women died of breast cancer, as reported by the National Cancer Institute.

Dr. Len Lictepeen, deputy chief medical officer for the American Cancer Society, said women should not overlook or "play down" these findings.

"This will hopefully change women's practice and patterns, resulting in a severe drop in the future number of cases," Lictepeen said.

Sooner said the research shows no increase in the risk of breast cancer in those who are, for whatever reason, not able to fellate regularly.

"There's definitely fertile ground for more research. Many have stepped forward to volunteer for related research now in the planning stages," he said.

Almost every woman is, at some point, going to perform the act of fellatio, but it is the frequency at which this event occurs that makes the difference, say researchers. Also key seems to be the protein and enzyme count in the semen, but researchers are again waiting for more test data.

The reasearch consisted of two groups, 6,246 women ages 25 to 45 who had performed fellatio and swallowed on a regular basis over the past five to ten years, and 9,728 women who had not or did not swallow. The group of women who had performed and swallowed had a breast cancer rate of 1.9 percent and the group who had not had a breast cancer rate of 10.4 percent.

"The findings do suggest that there are other causes for breast cancer besides the absence of regular fellatio," Shafteer said. "It's a cause, not THE cause."

Semen contains a lot of proteins and is an excellent protein supplement for SPs on a vegetarian diet.

    It was a hoax!

It was a hoax perpetrated a few years ago by a college student. I remember it very well:

Brandon Williamson, the student who wrote the mock report, responded to legal threats by apologising to his university, to CNN and to "all men who did not take advantage of this article in time to get head".

    Anti-estrogen effect?

That's an interesting association with semen and reduced incidence of breast cancer. To the extent that estrogen is well-known to be associated with increasing the risk of breast cancer, I can't help but wonder whether semen once inside the woman somehow interferes with estrogen production? There are a lot of mysteries as far as what causes breast cancer and conversely, what helps prevent or reduce the risk of getting it. I have a number of female friends who are breast cancer survivors some of whom are very active in trying to understand these cause-and-effect phenomena. For example, the incidence of breast cancer is highest among women living in Marin County, which is among one of the weathiest areas in the country just across the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. There have been a lot of hypotheses about this but none definitive as far as I know. First, they looked at diet and environmental factors such as exposure to toxins. Then, it was postulated that because a large number of women living in Marin are on fast-track careers, they tend to delay having children and in the process the hormonal chemistry is altered. But if that's the argument, then one should see similarly high rates of breast cancer in other areas with similar socioeconomics. So, the research goes on...

Oh well, one less thing to scratch one's head over. Although I can see how something like this wouldn't be as funny to a breast cancer survivor.

Yes, it's a hoax. But, should anyone wish to conduct research, I would be happy to be the recipient. I prefer to work with attractive, slim females between the ages of 20-26.

    Fellatio & swallowing

I know the study that started this thread has been brought into question, but nevertheless, CIMWS is often mentioned as a desired activity in a GFE. Isn`t this a highly dangerous action for the SP and for subsequent customers? I know escorting puts the girl at risk of STD`s by definition, but CIM and swallow? Why would she then bother to use a condom during intercourse other than for pregnancy prevention?

Then again, I really like DFK, and I suppose I`m putting myself at pretty considerable risk this way too. I guess it`s basically a choice: safety vs enjoying multiple/professional partners

    Is it dangerous ?

That question came to my mind, once again, recently.

I have a ``friend with benefits`` that is a CIMWS specialist. She`s really into it and I know she`s seeing other guys so... I asked her. The thing is that I ask her what`s the difference between drinking semen and f.... without a condom. She seriously answered me that the main thing is to avoid real fundamental body fluid (blood and some ``mucus`` around genitals) to make contact.

As she said to me, she avoid having when she`s just out of the dentist office or if the ``candy`` (her expression for mini-me) is having any kind of marks (like if you cut yourself when shaving mini-me). In her opinion (she told me that she read a lot about it), the fact of swallowing is not a problem as long as she doesn`t have a stomach ``ulcère`` (sorry, I dont know the word for it). The stomach natural acids are so intense, in her opinion, that their is no way that any kind of stuff can resist.

IMHO, I have a doubt but, since she`s really into it, I will continue to give her (and some others) what she likes.

I quite like it. I'll swallow over taking a facial any day. I've gotten more used to facials recently, but I started swallowing 25 years ago. I must've had gallons by now. My husband likes to get me to lick it up (from my breasts, for example) but I don't like that at all. That stuff gets cold and wierd-textured FAST.
