Lately I have wacth a TV show about tatoos. And I was suprised to hear that there was some concerns about having an epidural over a tatoo placed in the lower back. What they said about it was there may be some risk related to this action. So I have started a research on that.

Anyone have anything on this?

So far here on links about this:

I'll come back to you later with more ...

Have a nice day! :)

Epidural

I do not see any problem having an epidural over a tatoo. Even if some of the pigment is going into the CSF(cerebro-spinal fluid), the pigment are non reactive.

You are rigth about that! But it's not about the pigment!
It's about the risk of tin (in the pigement) being pick up during the epidural and reach the spinal cord that could - in some cases - end up with some irreversible consequences!
