Mine ranges from 10-15% depending on the opportunity.

Maxhard,

Good question. I have not tallied it up exactly but I am close to 5-7% of my net income....way too much! The problem is that if you count all the massage parlors, which I was going almost on a weekly basis (cost, on average, is $180 with the cab rides) and the outcalls (cost, on average, $350-$400, including the hotel room) and some of my special incalls ($500 for two hours), well then it all adds up.

I did a lot of stupid things over the last seven months, especially when I got into my "impulse hobbying" moods. Sometimes I think Doc Holliday is right, choose a couple of ladies that you researched well, see them for an hour and be more careful with your money. Always spend wisely.

Having said this, some of my more expensive encounters were over one hour and by far the best encounters. I keep hearing the refrain of the American Express commercial: "Hotel $180, dinner $250, a night with one of your favorite SPs, priceless!". For everything else,...well you know how it ends.

Montreal trumps Vegas in the SP department

I would be some where around 8 to 12% i guess it would depend on the year and how many trips i take to montreal and vegas.

Daringly,

LoL!!! Forget Vegas, you should stick to Montreal - the odds of finding an amazing SP are much higher!!!:p

You could travel to vegas for years and find all kinds of ladies that look as good as Samy, but they will never, and i mean never match her in attitude, personality and service.

I believe you, especially on that last point. Even in Montreal, Samy has very few, if any, comparables. As for Vegas, it's all a scam. The odds are always in favor of the House and the SPs are all business with no personality. There are a lot of dumb, rich guys lurking at the bars that are easy prey for them. It really is a joke.

NYC's armpit
I'm also at around 2%, but only because I don't hobby very frequently at all.

That's if I include all the travel, dining, hotel, and entertainment expenses involved in a trip to montreal. If I only count SP costs, then, less then .5%

Of course, having an expense account that takes care of flights, car rentals and hotel stays helps keep my cost low.

Robin,

I used to travel lot for work but I curtailed it significantly. It is a lot easier and cheaper for someone to come here with your expense accounts and deluxe hotel bookings.

But then again, your company might get suspicious when you keep saying; "I have to go back to Montreal to visit that account" "What? You've been up there ten times in the last quarter!":D

I am hoping a day would come when we are allowed to itemize this expense on our 1040.;)

NJDude,

I like the way you think. Call your congressman and us Canadians should immediately contact the Minister of Revenue to add this important tax break to the Canadian Income Tax Code. It's a lot better than saving for RRSPs!:D

Only if the assistant gives you an invoice, and not many SPs declare their income.

Daringly>>> This explains why Montreal SPs get invited to accompagny clients on business trips. The ticket is paid for with airmiles, the room and food is covered as a regular travelling business expense, all you have left to pay for is the ladies time!

Trips are a must

Kaempferrand said:
For an annual budget assuming that I am taking a break from having a real relationship, I would allocate around 3 to 5 percent for the year. That also includes that I am not traveling much out of leisure or taking up a new skill and/or hobby.

Kaempferrand,

I agree with your financial priorities, especially your trips. No SP in the world can replace my leisure trips. None. In my budget, leisure trips always come before SPs.

Its been quite a few years since my employer paid for my monthly trips to Montreal for a client in Lachine. When they did, they never noticed that the customer always scheduled Thursday & Friday meetings.:D Damn, I gotta find someone else to pay for my trips again.

I've "reduced" my net expeditures to 10-15% when I'm home, but in Montreal I've spent up to half my monthly income on SPs in 1 week!!

Next trip in 5 weeks, but who's counting?

Regards,

Voyager

Okay that is some 2000 to 2400 a month. Relatively speaking that is alot.
depends....that why i asked for percentage on NET...
if laura makes 400000 $ net a year.....its not so bad..
but if he makes 35K but spends 75k...well then...he needs a good accountant.......
I have a feeeling....he knows what he is doing..
