I got the flu since Friday, it hit me like a brick in the face. It started with body aches, chills and fever. I haven't got that sick for years now.
I'm just coming out from the fog of pain and fever. I've done some research and did you know that:
Every year in the US, on average :
1. 5% to 20% of the population gets the flu
2. more than 200 000 are hospitalized from flu complications
3. about 36 000 die from flu
Each winter, my workplace offers free flu shots and I always refused them because I wanted my body to self immunize itself but after that episode I should seriously think about it for the next cold season.
