Well... USA don't have to complain...

They have their own terrorists on their homeland... wearing badges, driving police cars...

Well said Titilleur. Why worry with terrorist when you have a country with such high homicide!

The USA do not need anyone killing them, they do it themselves!

Cheers,

The biggest terrorists of them all are named Bush, Rumsfeld & Cheney. They're responsible for killing hundreds of thousands of innocents.

Someone's never heard of School Of The Americas.

Or someone's never heard of how the US was allied with Saddam when he was gassing his own people.

Or someone has never heard about how the US supported Bin Laden before he turned against the US.

Canada is going to need a lot of catching up if it ever hopes to match all the terrorism the US has been complicit with.

Look behind you.
Lioks like a few do not understand what the OP posted. Nothing to do with how many people were killed or who did the killing but the Canadisn government under Justine Trudeau paid a terrorist who killed a medic 10.5 million dollars. This is not about Americans.

Edit: For those who mentioned the names of Bush etc you forgot Obama https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&sour...ggtMAU&usg=AFQjCNEhKltnaccRAW_HSJ6mI5V1ldj7zg.

Sorry STN but the OP goes beyond what you are pointing at... There is someone pretending that Canada is siding with terrorism. The number of kills is irrelevent.

Not sure if you are an American or Canadian but many are very upset that Justine Trudeau paid a terrorist 10.5 million and even apologized for all of Canada, 71% of Canadians think it was wrong. Justine even passed a law that if an immigrant becomes a Canadian and then goes to fight for ISIS and kills Canadians he will be able to keep his citizenship, many think this is wrong also.
The money paid to the terrorist was even given to him secretly so a previous US case from the widow could not claim the money.
Most know about the US issues but they were not as blatant as this episode.
And yes, for some reason Americans kill a lot of their own.

He was 15! Following every steps of his crazy father like any 15 year old would do.

Should he deserves 10 millions. Hell no! But then the government fucked it up...

Cheers

What the Liberals did, treating a former terrorist way better than Canada`s own Veterans, leaves a foul taste in the mouth of a majority of Canadians.
There should be a law that if any Canadian citizen leaves our country to fight as an enemy combatant.....he/she should automatically lose their Canadian citizenship.
Khadr should have been left to rot in Quitmo.

This is exactly why ISIS are training and brainwashing children! I understand he was only 15, but when he threw the grenade during the attack by US ARMY (as to the best of my understanding) he acted independently. That's what I feel. If he was truly being forced, it was his opportunity to surrender.

Also, If the law allows you to have consensual sex at 16 and the age was increased from 14 to 16 in 2006 i believe, then why do you need to be 18 to be tried as adult for killing?

The reasons I think Canada apologized for first, not following the rules of torture and POW set by geneva convention. and secondly treatment of minors POW. CSIS and CIA were both in on the torture of Khadr and that is a clear violation of the rules. Canada got away easy with 10.5 million.

Justine and his lackeys didn't even have the 'balls' to fight this in court, he claimed they would of lost, thus saving tax payers even more $$ in court/legal costs. He cowardly gave up & apologized on behave of Canadians whom overwhelmingly disagree with his wimpy attitude.

Politically correct Liberals in the West is weakening society at all levels. This is not good in the long run, Muslim Isis/terrorists will simply train kids/teens to carry out their deadly attacks.

Speer's widow wants $136 million.

I am fine with that as long as the widows of the four Canadian soldiers killed by an American pilot each get the same amount.

(USAF admits giving the pilots Dexedrine.)

The US bombed a wedding. They killed 48 civilians. Compensation is $200 per person killed and $75 for each of the 118 wounded.

So by the US governments own standards she should only get $200.

Problem is... Nobody is 100% sure that he threw that grenade... Some reports say it could have thrown by an american soldier. Other reports mention that the thrower was shot by gunfire...

Khadr happens to be the perfect scapegoat for Cheney's deviant will and actions against an "enemy" he created himself... In a civilize world, you are innocent until proven guilty. In Khadr's case, he could never be innocent because the USA really needed him to be guilty, no matter what.

The US only wanted him because they thought he had intimate knowledge of the bin Laden network.

That was why they held him in Guantanamo and tortured him.

As if a fifteen year old kid would know high level strategy.

Killing the medic, which may not have happened, was just an excuse to hold him.

This thread is going to devolve into a whole bunch of stupid...

Canada paid him because he was knowingly turned over to a country willing to torture a 16 year old to extract a confession. Whether that confession is true or not is besides the point. The torture is the point. As much as this one incident sucks, (paying a potential terrorist reparations) Canada is still a country of laws... Ignoring those laws makes us no better than the people we are fighting...

Often forgotten now is the fact that in the same 2010 judgment that found Khadr’s constitutional rights had been violated, the Supreme Court overturned two lower court rulings requiring the Harper government to seek Khadr’s repatriation from Guantanamo Bay, saying this would have interfered with its right to set foreign policy.

Just my opinion but when dad is a lieutenant for Osama Bin Laden and you fight against Canada you are no longer a citizen.

That's a complete load of bullshit and you know it. Now on the other hand, the kid was deprived of a little sleep and he gets $8MM. I hope the US can find a way to freeze these assets so the little bastard can't get his bloody hands on the money. If he does get it he ought to split it with the widow he created and other guy that he blinded. Fuck him.

These fucking Jihadists would have all out precious SPs killed and would burn us alive. I think you and I can agree on this.

then get the law changed... Until then, applying it is really an important part of what we are fighting for despite how any 1 individual case may make us feel...

(TBH, I also have a serious problem with the decision. But hiding behind a John Woo memo that redefines what torture is is far more cowardly...)
