Early predictions:

-Habs will finish in last place in their division. They'll miss the playoffs. For the next 3 years.

-Leafs will finish in first place. They'll lose in the conference final. They'll make the playoffs for the next 5 years.

I have more faith in your first prediction than your second.

So you are saying no Stanley Cup for both of them in the next five years... ;)

Sorry but your hockey predictions are about as accurate as you US election predictions, no offence but you are not batting very well.

According to one source, Joshua Marshall, Draisaitl reportedly turned down an 8-year, $64 million contract two weeks ago. While there’s no way to validate the report, it’s always interesting to speculate the terms that have been discussed. The Oilers are about $16.8 million under the $75 million NHL salary cap for 2017-18, according to CapFriendly.com.

Playing beside McDavid I probably could have gotten 50 points.
Not sure if he is worth that much.

As I predicted a couple of years ago, leaving TO would be great for Phil. Since escaping he has won 2 Cups in 2 years. Good for Phil! (Dion of course won zero Cups but he too is thrilled to have escaped.)

The way the previous administration "ran" the Leafs reminds me of the way the current administration "runs" the USA - 2 total disasters. At least the Leafs finally ditched Burke and Nonis and now have a capable management squad. Let's hope the USA does something similar with ITS current problem.

Thumbs up, Phil: Enjoy your Cups, your dogs and most of all your freedom.

Surprising to see this past weekend that white supremacist groups have adopted the Red Wings emblem and put them on their shields during violent demonstrations against regular folks and anti-fascist groups. Good to see the Red Wings organization to immediately denounce those racists for using their insignia.

The Edmonton Oilers have signed centre Leon Draisaitl to an eight-year contract extension, through the 2024-25 season, with an average annual value of $8.5 million.

Wow.

Hey where are the Habs Gaby? Telling you they will surprise us and finish first LIKE LAST YEAR!!! I feel it coming. And I am never wrong when I get feelings! Right?

I see the Capitals again at the top. Agree with you on Edmonton. But central will be Chicago again.

Cheers,
