We all love hobbying or else we wouldn't be here. But there are many pleasures in life and some of the better ones are absolutely free. A gorgeous sunset, a walk up the mountain in a beautiful, crisp day, and one of my favorites, the summer siesta.

There is nothing like that mid afternoon nap where you open the window and let that summer breeze flow in while you lie down and fall into a deep sleep. It is priceless.:)

How many of you enjoy your summer siestas?

I'm envious of people who can sleep during the day; if I manage to sleep (a task in itself) I wake up with a bad headache.

Chefplus,

A lot of people have sleeping disorders, it's amazing. Some people are depressed, others can't relax when they're in bed, others do not exercise enough to get tired at the end of the day. When I hit the sheets, I am out in minutes and it's a deep sleep. I do not read or watch tv in the bedroom. I either sleep or have sex, but lately it's been mostly sleep.:(

But that summer siesta with that gentle summer breeze...simply priceless. I am jealous of people that have set up hamacs in their backyard.

Looks like we have another thing in common! My daughter gave me a hammock for mothers day a few years ago, my favotire gift ever! The best was taking it on a camping trip on the ocean shore. The ocean breeze, swaying gently, waves crashing against the shore lulling me to sleep,, perfection!
It's a little tougher getting that siesta at home between the neighbors kids, dogs and lawnmowers, the summer afternoons can be a bit noisy!

..............!

You got me thinking...sleep is impossible, but what I would want is a 2-hour massage by a trained therapist (no happy ending) under the conditions in the quote. Maybe I would sleep then, without the headache following. People who have not experienced such a massage are really missing something.
