GSP is back !! Oh he is. After a dominating first round, i was a bit worried to see Bisping win round 2(my own card). But if GSP made us learn something is that it does not matter how much he is bruised or bleed. He does those 2 things rather easily but he is still as sharp as ever. Just like an assassin he waited for the right time and BOOM huge punch dropping Bisping. After Bisping had eaten a bunch of punches on the ground and just tried to survived, GSP took the opportunity as he turned to put him in a sleeper hold and buebye !!!

What a return !!

As for the rest of the card i was shocked to see Joanna go down, i never expected this in a million years. And im really not a fan of Rose Namajunas. As for Cody vs TJ, i had no favourite at all, so congrat to TJ.

Hendricks lost again... looks like without the juice his career is over...

In any case it was an incredible card and peoples in New York definately witness something special. Just imagine if that PPV was in Montreal ... Oh boy the crowd would had made the roof blow up !! lol

Best card ever!

Thanks Dillashaw destroyed the trash taking Cody Garbrant and Rose Namajunas blitzed Joanna jedrzejczyk to claim the woman's belt. Love it, all the trash talkers got their arses handed to them. Lesson learnt this UFC : actions speak much louder than words ( fists too :p)

I'm no fan of the sport but i'm a big GSP fan so although i didn't watch the fight live last night i followed it round by round via the RDS website. But i've just watched the fight and the post-fight interviews on YouTube and i couldn't believe how bloody both fighters were by the end of the fight.

GSP is as classy as anyone can be and he looked in great shape. The only time i ever watch UFC is when he's fighting. The UFC needs him as much as he needs it and as long as he's still fighting i'll be watching.

This was one of the better cards in a long time. GSP looked great for someone who took the last 4 years off and jumping right into the fire with no warm up fights. This GSP 2.0 definitely looked bigger in the higher weight class. He still had his speed and quickness in the first round but one thing I noticed when taking down Bisping, GSP was unable to control his bigger opponent unlike when he was in the lower weight class. The second round was a cause for concern as GSP definitely slowed down and Bisping started to tag him, I really thought GSP was going to lose it. But in true champion fashion in round 3 when GSP stunned Bisping he was able to go in for the kill. This is probably the only time an MSG crowd will be cheering for someone from Montreal. Can't deny after yesterday night that GSP is the best!

Haha this was just a fast pitch of the main event, i could do MUCH MUCH better in a full review.

Np for that website, glad you can still enjoy it years later.

TheDon, yeah me too i had Bisping win round 2, BUT part of being a good champion is to know how to tank. Even tough GSP did got tag, he was never "stunned" or in danger to me. He clearly lost the round on points but never in danger. Maybe his cardio was a tiny bit off, im sure he can work on that, and maybe his overall skills where not as sharp as back then, but im sure its minor tweaks he can correct.

I do hope it was not his last fight, that he does go on and defend the belt at least once or twice. Obviously MMA is like hockey, usually when you appraoch your 40s you slow down. Yet i think GSP right now can still do a few more fights. If he end up loosing a decision eventually, i don't think it would hurt his reputation or general status. Whats good about GSP is that he did lost in his prime, and not in a good fashion... He did manage to come back, he did proved it was "a fluke" and i don't think he has anything to prove now.

GSP is definitely back, that’s for sure. Looks better than ever! Can’t wait for his next fight. I’ve been to the Tri-Star Gym while GSP was training. Those training sessions are intense. This superstar is such highly regarded that numerous fighters from across North America have relocated to Montreal in order to be able to train with him. Not far from my neck of the woods, they renamed a park after Georges St.Pierre. Not sure if he was the intended honoree, but I doubt his name is very common. If he really was the intended recipient of this honor, my hat goes off to him. That is an outstanding tribute to a still active athlete.
