I love music. Because of my kids I try as much as possible to keep up with what's being played right now instead of always going back to my Bruce Springsteen, Led Zeppelin, Daniel Belanger or Eddy Mitchell old dude stuff ;)

This year, I particularly liked:

- Feels https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWPHy-NfAW0&list=RDiWPHy-NfAW0
Never really like pharell or katy perry, but put them together with amazing big sean and men they got a fucking great song!

- Signs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGEIbGVrYos
Drake's a fucking genious no?

What 2017 song did you liked?

Cheers,

I've been listening to my The Doors album for the past weeks. Don't ask me what the best new music is currently LOL

But I agree on Meta with wild thoughts especially after having seen Rihanna in that clip... !!

Jalimon, in my opinion, you could never go wrong with Led Zeppelin. “Stairway to Heaven” is perhaps as close to a perfect song as you will ever get. No way will today’s music even come close.

What 2017 song did you liked?
“Every Little Thing” by Carly Pearce ... :music:

Music is so timeless to me. I rarely look back on when a song was release. I hear a new cool song and if i like it enough it become part of my permanent playlist.

One artist i particulary enjoyed this year is Minniva. She do covers on youtube and altough she cover a lot bands i already love she made me discover bands/songs i never heard of as well.

Otherwise even tough im ashamed of saying it i have yet to buy both the new Cradle of Filth album, especially since they have a show coming in may in Montreal, and the new Cannibal Corpse.

Delain as a new live DVD/CD , wich i also want to get. Love this band.

So well music is my companion for Montreal trips, its been since a while. Ill keep my favourite and add new songs as i hear them ;)

I have a tradition, everytime i leave my town for Montreal, i listen to Rock of Ages from Def Leppard :))) Cause i got something to say haha

Rihanna likes BDSM, btw. ;)

I wish I went to France ! I think this is also the cemetery where you can find Oscar Wilde's tombstone if I remember correctly. And a bunch of other people... I really want to visit it one day. Didn't know Jim's tombstone was there :)

Jalimon, somehow I had you pegged as more of a heavy metal fan. Although it’s somewhat awkward to set the mood when with a date if you’re playing metallica or Black Sabbath...

That’s the beauty with LED Zeppelin. Their music is so versatile. You have perhaps the best song ever written in “Stairway to Heaven”, and then there’s the other extreme with The Immigrant Song which is more of a heavy metal themed song.

I did listen to a lot of Led Zeppelin! But if a band defined me it would be Pear Jam! Grunge was for me best thing sing that happened to music since the 70's era of great band like zeppelin, genesis, the who, etc..

Myself, I like to alternate between heavy metal and country. Guns N’ Roses and Johnny Cash are tops in my book. My taste in music is somewhat unusual to say the least. Heavy Metal and Country share no similarities whatsoever, yet for some unknown reason, I really dig both.

In Montreal? I saw them in montreal can't remember if it was 97 but in was in August that I remember!

Easygoing I am a big fan of Johny cash! When my ex found out my love of Cash or especially Eddy Mitchell (french) she was not too sure about me, found my taste a bit too... "kétaine" haha

IMHO I grew up with the Doors and Led Zeppelin. I consider both bands to be among the greatest of all time. Instrumentally, Led Zeppelin featured a top 5 guitarist of all time in Page and a top 5 drummer of all time in Bonham. With the Doors, you have in my opinion the top rock singer and lyricist of all time in Morrison. The talent in these bands was extreme rock talent. I never get sick of hearing “Light My Fire” by the Doors. With LZ, Stairway to Heaven is not my favorite song. There are too many to mention but I love the guitar on “Ten Years After” and drums on “Misty Mountain Hop.” Classics. These are Hall of Fame Musicians whose talent was beyond comprehension.

Jalimon, in my opinion, there is nothing “kétaine” about the late Johnny Cash and his music, although I can understand why some would find some music unappealing. For instance, I never had a taste for disco music. You could say that I found it extremely unappealing. I would rather listen to a construction crew with jackhammers outside my home than a disco song. It’s just not for me... :bolt:
