If I understand correctly it was retaliation. Venezuela expelled top brazil and canadian diplomat last week.

Poor venezuela, great population run by ass hole dictators... Ruined the country.

That Ambassador undoubtedly had a favorite SP in Ottawa or dancer at Pigale's that he can't see any more. That's been taken away from him, and it is worthy of your sympathy. He is probably a qualified and educated man just doing his job for a regime that has been viewed as repressive. A fall guy, in the political sense.
