Seems like a pretty-cool guy, Jim Pallotta, the owner of AS Roma, talking about the incident of Roma-fan violence after last week's game in Liverpool:...

Pallotta is from Boston...he is chairman of one of the biggest hedge funds in the U.S....he is also part owner of the Boston Celtics!

He has a problem however with his Roma football club, the Roma fans are the biggest hooligans in Italy...not at all surprised with the incidents that occurred in Liverpool!...It's a chronic problem with Roma fans.

... and Liverpool are owned by FSG, a lot of money in Boston.

The CL final in Kiev is now set: Liverpool vs. Real Madrid. Of course, I'm picking Liverpool to win it all, hehe! In fact, I don't think it'll be close.

LP vs. Roma earlier today: LP made it seem close as a result of Milner's own goal but if you watch the match, the outcome was never in doubt. Roma was desperately running uphill the whole match. Unlike Barca, LP did not wilt to the pressure of playing Roma in Rome. LP pretty much stuck to what has worked. Best defense is to play relentless offense.

Bayern vs. Real yesterday: RM seems to have Bayern's number. Third time now that RM has knocked Bayern out of Champions League. Heynckes the Bayern coach who's usually pretty low key and honest thought Bayern was the better team in both legs and I believe him. Bayern squandered so many chances yesterday at the Bernabeu. I guess there's a such a thing as the RM magic when it comes to making it to the final. But on May 26, RM will be denied...for a change.

Crazy game, just like the first one ... near Liverpool meltdown in the second half with Roma getting those three goals, at least ten other chances, and at least one missed penalty call.

Can see May 26th being as crazy as this ... Real 4 - Liverpool 3

The Liverpool vs Roma matchup was not even close despite the aggregate score showing otherwise...Roma got 4 garbage goals in the two games that meant nothing!..."Arrivederci Roma, it's time for you to go!"

The other semi-final that pinned Real Madrid and Bayern was a mystery as Bayern dominated the two games but still managed to lose the matchup!

I like Liverpool in the final!

What a strange Champions Cup final!...Not sure how Liverpool goalkeeper Karius who gets paid millions can turn in such a horrible performance and choke like he did!

A 15-year old amateur goalkeeper would have fared better.

However, the turning point in the game occurred when Salah was injured forcing him to leave the game...Nevertheless, hats off to Real!

Disappointing end to an otherwise very good season for Liverpool. I agree the takedown of Salah by Sergio Ramos was the turning point of the game. Up until that point, Liverpool was the more dominant side. Ramos is Real's best defender and a seasoned guy but I thought the way he pulled the smaller Salah down to the ground by interlocking their arms was intended to hurt Salah. Karius' performance was pathetic. He basically gifted Real two goals. Considering this was the biggest stage of the game, his future at Liverpool is now questionable. I don't think he'll recover from this in a Liverpool uniform. Anyway, got to give credit to RM. Bale's first goal on a bicycle kick was just too spectacular.

Ramos' takedown of Salah resembled more like a UFC take down move. Ramos' move dislocated Salah's shoulder...that's a recovery period of three months...which means that Salah will not play in the World Cup for Egypt. In any event, Ramos has a long rap sheet of questionable plays!

And Zidane's move to bring on Bale - who has been a disappointment with Real - made Zidane look like a genius. Bale scored that beautiful goal only 2 minutes after he came in as a substitute.

Sergio Ramos is an exemplary character and a wonderful role model for aspiring young footballers the world over, isn't he? I'm certain had he not attempted to cushion the much smaller player by use of his body that whatever injury the unlucky Sallah incurred would have been far worse. Especially admirable was Sergio's selfless avoidance of elbowing Karius in the head, at no small expense to himself, only moments before the keeper's first great misfortune:

Man I missed that one completely...incredible! But all that counts in Ramos' book is that he can get away with it!

Here are Ramos' Top 10 Hits!

....Pjanic from Juventus is another player who consistently gets away with "questionable fair play"!!!

...no foul called, and no use of the VAR by the referee. (Italy's version of instant replay that was used for the 2017-2018 season that just ended, and that will also be used in the World Cup).
