NY Yankees
I've been watching the past three games they've played against the Toronto Blue Jays.
In the first game the stands looked nearly empty. I doubt there were more than 1000 in attendance. In the second game there were slightly more people. During today's game it was a weekend game in sunny weather, yet the place was far from being sold out.
What's the problem with NY Yankees baseball? Why aren't the fans showing up? Is it the high ticket prices? Are the fans making a stand against once-again wild spending by the team (e.g. acquiring Giancarlo Stanton, etc)?? Are they pissed that the team fired popular manager Joe Girardi for no apparent reason? With the Knicks again out of the playoffs & also no playoffs for the NY Rangers i'm surprised there aren't more fans attending Yankees games in their beautiful new ballpark. Especially considering the team has several young stars in the likes of Aaron Judge & Gary Sanchez.
So what gives??
