Indeed, the Warriors only scored 12 points in the 4th quarter. With Durant, Thompson and Curry all going cold at the same time. And its not that the Rockets lit up the court either.

Sharkman,

Neither team ran good offense the last couple minutes and Curry missed a layup at the end in the last minute. It was kind of disappointing to see two really good offensive teams run such poor crunch time offense. There was a lot of one on one play. My money would still be on the Warriors to win this series but it’s now interesting for game 5.

James Harden has missed 20 consecutive 3 point shots and the Rockets somehow managed to win game 5 while shooting a goat-ball sucking 37% on FGs. I can’t recall the last time anyone won an NBA playoff game shooting 37%- it has probably happened before but not very often.

Both teams were horrible in the 4th quarter especially the Warriors with all those turnovers.

The Rockets have been able to slow down the pace of the game strangely to their advantage in the last 2 games.

In any event, this series is going to 7 games. The Warriors will blow out the Rockets in game 6.

Actually in both of the last two games, the Rockets and Warriors were really bad in the 4th quarter. This has been the biggest surprise of the series- really bad late game offensive execution by two top notch offensive teams.

3 years ago (2015 if I recall correctly) the Warriors locked up in a 7 game series with the OKC Thunder. In that series, the difference was that the Warriors backcourt of Curry and Thompson rained down 3s while the Thunder superstar duo of Durant and Westbrook were awful in crunch time. In this series it is hard to believe that a bunch of superstar players are not performing up to abilities. The two best players in the series have been Durant for the Warriors and Paul for the Rockets.

Both semi-finals are going the distance 7 games.

It's a toss up in the East between the Celts and the Cavs.

However, the Rockets vs Warriors should see the Warriors heavily favored with Chris Paul unable to play due to injury.

Would have loved to see "the shimmy moves" between Paul and Curry ...unfortunately it won't happen!

Paul’s status is uncertain, but reportedly is “less than likely”, whatever that means.

He ain't going play EB...and even if there was a remote chance that he would play he'd be a liability!

The Rockets need a perfect game both offensively and defensively from all their players...And it sure looks like it ain't going to happen!

Celtics

So far it looks like the Cavs are playing 1 on 5 against the Celtics. LeBron James needs help, and with Kevin Love out, it does not look like he is getting much help. It's too bad because LeBron has had the best playoff performance of any player maybe ever this year, and he should be MVP just for getting the Cavs team this far.

Hats off to you EB for picking the Celts, unless of a second half miracle the Cavs are toast! The Celtics have shown that they have a better balanced team!

The Celtics definitely have the better team but they stagnated in the 2nd quarter and it’s very dangerous to let Cleveland hang close with LeBron James then in position to do his usual heavy late game damage when needed. As long as Cleveland is within around 6-8 points headed towards the last 5 minutes it will be dangerous. Celtics want to build a commanding lead and then coast, if possible.

Start of the 4th quarter and the Celtics look like they are in a bit of trouble. LeBron James looks like a warrior out there - he is the best player on the floor every single game he played in in this playoffs....

Quite a stunning turn around in game 7 by the Cavs! Amazing LeBron come through again to stun the Celtics crowd!...Proves to show it ain't over 'til the fat lady sings!

It turns out I was right after all!...but for a while I had my doubts!

The Celtics didn’t make any shots which really hurt them very badly....and LeBron absolutely killed them in this game. He ate the Celtics up in all but one game, but he was really on his game tonight.

Game 7 of Warriors-Rockets is not just for Western Conference - winner is NBA champion and takes down the Cavs. It’s a true winner take all game.

Sharkman - here are my three bullet points summary of the GSW-Houston Game 7 for you:
1) 3rd quarter is money for GSW
2) Houston: set a record for 27 straight missed 3-pointers
3) Harden - not quite ready for NBA finals prime time.
