This is the only thing in your post that I'm going to take exception to, Louis. It's common wisdom that winter is the slow season in the sex trade in Montreal. All the girls I know complain about how hard it is to make a living. Things pick up through Spring, Summer and Fall when travel to Montreal is much more appealing.
