Well said.......when you play with fire sometimes you get burned, and when you jump into the water with sharks, sometimes you get bitten. In 16 years of doing business in Montreal I never once got robbed. No late night bookings, no dealing with shady agencies, mostly paid up front and never once got burned.

The only experience I ever had with a criminal element in Montreal involved walking back to the Hyatt around 3 am on St. Catherine Street when I was accosted by a rather aggressive homeless person. It was immensely stupid to walk back to the hotel at that hour but I was younger, drunk and stupid at the time.

Godiva is a very solid and reliable agency- that is a good question. They are certainly better than the shady ass outfit the OP called.

The "I forgot the condoms" trick is one i have read used over and over and over again with the rip-off agencies. I never had a situation where a lady who forgot condoms did not agree to use mine. If that was not a red flag, I really don't know what is. It may be that the OP is stoked by the risk of using shady agencies.

This goes to HM's point that he posted earlier, which is that you set yourself up for this when you book at 3 am or at the very end of someone's shift. I book early in a girl's shift, don't you?

Do you know why downtown MPs have ridiculous upcharges? It's because they know they are servicing a large number of drunken and horny tourists and people in Montreal on business and out schmoozing clients. The girls working the late night shift know that young, drunk and horny guys are easily parted with their money. The shady agencies know that later at night they can pray upon the young, the drunk, the horny, the client who is high, much like a Bald Eagle swooping down and grabbing in its talons a bewildered and unsuspecting mouse that ran out into the field chasing a cute young girl mouse.

Hey drinkher you seem like adventurous type, willing to role the dice to find the hidden gems. Can be fun, but of course you take your chances. Myself I don't mind TOFTT but not sure I'm brave enough to do an outright unknown from Leolist. I always have a back up plan though, late nights it would be a downtown strip club then MP if I'm in the mood. Both places that have rarely let me down.

You mentioned your bad experience was with a Gabrielle on Leolist. Please let us know if it was Gabrielle party girl, 514 number ending in 3152. If so, someone is posting ads with that number on several different boards, with different names Sammy, Maria, Alyssa, Karina, Fanny, Ana, Myrium, Ashley, Jade, Gaby, etc. The list goes on and on ! Always good to google the phone number for an unknown.

Put out as much info as you can on this scam artist, I do not know the limitations on this board but you can put out a description about the person and the ad. What are the last 4 digits of the phone number?

Yes. Yes, there is something you can do. First, do not pay up front. Second, stop dealing with disreputable agencies and web sites. If you are young, I don't blame you as much for your lack of judgment. I used to take chances like this when I was younger and dumber. This reminds me of of a couple of past experiences. About 10 years ago, a SP from Quebec City asked for the money up front. I paid it. She said she was going to give it to the driver and but she would leave her purse as collateral.
I looked in this dirty purse and there was a dildo and a pack of smokes. Now it was December but I told her that she had to leave her rabbit fur coat too. She protested but I hadn't just fallen of the back of the turnip truck. Another time I demanded my money back. Still another time a guy calls up to the room and said in a thug voice "Your girls here" and informed me that he handles the money. When he came to the hotel door, I bolted everything shut and turned the lights off and silently waited for 15 minute for this guy to go away.

This stuff doesn't happen to me anymore. I no longer check into a hotel and pull out the phone book and start dialing or peruse web sites such like CL or BP. I do my homework and plan things out. I save my hobby dollars for hobby destination. I detest risk. I have convinced my self that places such as Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Louisville are not hobby meccas. Don't even try. Save it for Montreal, Germany, Sao Paulo etc. I can do that now.

I'll second that. I haven't done the hobby in the states for years. It's Montreal, Toronto or bust.

Payback is a bitch, call up and make appointments to rob them of time.
