Is there any concern about traveling to the U.S. to visit a client?
And, if not, who might be willing to make a 3-night trip over the border?

Look behind you.
Nylonlegs, what we are really talking about here is borderline paranoia and worst case scenarios.

This happens on a lot of topics here and quite often.

Samclemens although there is very sound advice in all the post here I know of quite a few girl that makes trip to see someone in the US.

Mostly agency girls that have never showed face pics. Many of whom do not work often. The thing is:

- from what I learned they first met the client here in Montreal
- they go to "attractive" cities like New York, Miami, Orlando, etc... (a single cute 20 year old girl would be suspicious at custom telling the agent she is going to visit Springfield, Missouri ;) )
- they need to have a lodging address to cross the border, confirmed hotel booking is best... Are you willing to give out your personal address?? (without a fix lodging booking the girl will head straight to custom interview...
- many will go with friends, do you have pals willing to share the cost?
- you will need to prepay plane ticket

For all these reason might be easier to invite the girl in a all inclusive resort down south? But then again it will have to be with girl you know and have met in Montreal so there is not much work around, you will have to get your ass here a few times ;)

Cheers,

Restrictions on ladies’ travel to US partially explains why the sex market in Montreal is relatively isolated and has low prices. In my view there are some rather trivial rules on how to avoid getting banned for the US travel:
1. Never use your face picks in the advertisements. Even if you send face picks to clients privately they may end up in the public files and linked to your adds if some stupid dude shared it with his friends etc. With the proliferation of the very reliable face recognition technology, it takes seconds to find your adds and reviews. Changing hair style and make up does not work as the technology uses facial markers that can’t be fooled by it.
2. Don’t take the phone you use for the work in Montreal when cross the border even if you arise all sensitive files as the number is easily tracible to your adds. Make sure that your Facebook profile etc., is not linked to your work phone number.
3. Have a bullet-proof agenda for the reason you travel and about your civilian occupation. Use occupations like nursing aid, hair stylist etc. that are not easily tracible on the internet.
4. Use, when possible, organized travel: group excursions, group hiking, booked resorts and camps, conference and conventions with personal invitation etc. With this, you will generally bypass questions for the reason why you travel.

When I read threads like this, I get really baffled.

Can someone explain to me why someone would even consider this. There are plenty of US sex workers, particularly in good locations like Miami, New York and Vegas who would cost less than transporting someone from Canada. I just don’t get why anyone would consider this.

A well known Mtl SP told me the answer. " some guys have soooooo much money, they just don't know what to do with it"

Actually it is even simpler than that.
When it comes to sex a lot of men think with their dicks, not with their brains.

LOL! True that!

Cheers,

These points have the elements of how I would envision it. Come down to NYC for vacation, and it really would be a vacation, but also fitting in a few sessions with clients the SP met in Montreal. No trace of such activity on the cell phone. Prebook a hotel.

There are several ladies I have seen in Montreal, who I would gladly see in NYC if they were to come down.

Be glad you are not Colombian. I have had several clients bring fiancees from Colombia and I always advised the Petitioning U.S. Citz. to travel with his fiancee, to avoid having her sent to secondary inspection. Otherwise, almost all of the non-accompanied fiancees are sent to secondary and will be given the option of an "x-ray exam" or be required to stay overnight and be forced to shit in an enclosed container. Has anyone seen "Maria Full Of Grace". Great movie, by the way.

Many Border Agents will ask the same questions, every time. It is your response to those questions that is important.

If you come to the U.S. frequently, expect to get a lot of questions.

Someone mentioned about coming to the U.S. to strip. That will get you bounced, unless you have work authorization in U.S. As Mocha pointed out, she has permission to work in a hair salon in the U.S. She obviously doesn't mention the fact that she also works in a strip joint, while being interviewed at the border.

I have no trouble getting a lady to travel with me to vacation destinations at no cost except travel expenses, it is getting rid of them after the trip that is troublesome.

Poor guy asked two questions and got mostly opinions or criticism.

I’ll answer his questions. There should be no concern about a girl traveling to the US to see you, especially if the price is right. If for some reason she has concerns, she will probably just say no. Getting someone to make a 3 night trip will cost you, but I’m sure you can get it done if you really want to.

I don't think you quite understand. This is very serious, it's absolutely illegal for any escort to ever enter the USA within 10 years of being an escort. It's a special morality clause and that's what they are banning ladies on, even if they're going with family or going on vacation. Just the fact that they have done it in Canada is grounds for being banned for 10 years. It's happened to a few of my colleagues even when going on vacation or to a convention they were questioned, shown their Toronto ads and then banned and told they had to get a vanilla job, change their ways and try and repeal it later if they ever wanted to come back.
.

Thank you for raising my awareness. And this is only going to get worse.

I'm with Patron on this one. I'll come to you.

Charlotte Edwards is spot on. Here is the U.S. Law: 8 U.S.C. Section 1182 (a)(2)(D) states "Any alien who (i) is coming to the United States solely, principally, or incidentally to engage in prostitution, or has engaged in prostitution within 10 years of the date of application for a visa, admission, or adjustment of status, (ii) directly or indirectly procures or attempts to procure, or (within 10 years of the date of application for a visa, admission, or adjustment of status) procured or attempted to procure or to import, prostitutes or persons for the purpose of prostitution, or receives or (within such 10-year period) received, in whole or in part, the proceeds of prostitution, or (iii) is coming to the United States to engage in any other unlawful commercialized vice, whether or not related to prostitution, is inadmissible".

Obviously, the Border/Customs agent is not going to check the online status of every woman entering the U.S. But if you look like a duck/whore and quack like a duck/whore, and are evasive or don't have good answers to simple questions such as "What is the purpose of your trip?" , "Are you going to visit anyone in particular" or "What is your employment? Where are you staying? etc", you may get sent to secondary inspection, where the Agents will have the time to investigate your story in much more detail. They may even call the person you claim to be visiting to verify your story.

Law Enforcement do read review boards, so what I said about myself in this thread may or not be fictional !!!

Mocha,
I figured your details about working in a hair salon didn't make sense. As you previously mentioned the U.S. doesn't need more strippers and certainly not more hair salon workers, i.e. it would be extremely difficult to get even a temporary visa in those fields of employment. I do think you should write a book about your travails. Perhaps you could use a pseudonym.

Here is a good YouTube video about Dos and Don'ts for newbies crossing U.S./Canadian border. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFRA9Srk930

Why not just have them stroll across the border and get in front of all immigrants that have applied through the proper channels, if they have a criminal record, not an issue, we will hang on to them for about ten years, support them and feel sorry when their kids can't go play little league in the US.

Sarcasm is strong with this one :)

The article states that the kid Dio can't travel to U.S. to participate in Little League World Series - wrong!! The kid Dio is a U.S. Citz. having been born in the U.S. He can certainly travel to the U.S. but may not be able to return to Canada without losing his claim to refugee status (I'm guessing the father made a refugee claim for the entire family). Also, I highly doubt the father's refugee claim will be granted in Canada, having been convicted of a drug-related felony in the U.S. Good luck!! Hard to feel sorry for drug smugglers. Unfortunately, their families suffer the consequences.

Honestly its a difficult matter especially for escorts . Travelling too much wothout a big fixed revenue is a big red alert when at the border. I have personnally been taken aside many times ans’d they went through my phone. So its really up to the discretion of the lady . I wouldnt do it

For background on the USA position regarding sex workers, scroll down to the section "The Global Sheriff" in this recent news article "Beyond Strange Bedfellows" http://feature.politicalresearch.org/beyond-strange-bedfellows

One of my Canadian girlfriends was snagged at the border several years ago - BTW she works as a bartender, is young and attractive. She was traveling alone to meet me for a concert by her favorite band in the NY metro area... she got pulled aside at the border for interrogation, they didn't like something on her cellphone, denied her entry and awarded her the 10-year ban. We have since traveled to Europe together with no problems.

The border crossing issue is known to many SWers in Canada - Maggies of Toronto provides further guidance.

I’ve mentioned this in other threads, but it it’s worth repeating.

ERASE all electronics when crossing any border. It takes a few minutes to download the info again after you’ve gotten past customs. I generally have nothing to hide and could probably just delete some texts, clear the web browser and take my chances. But I’m human and I can forget something. I can’t speak for Android users but I can for IPhone, iPad, etc users and even pc’s. It doesn’t take a lot of time and effort to simply back up your electronics and then proceed to nuke “erase” them. Go old school and keep a list of important numbers in your wallet (not agencies!) and simply bring your electronics back to life when you get to your hotel. If anyone asks why there’s nothing on your phone you can be relatively honest and simply say for privacy issues. Nothing illegal about that. The amount of crap some of have on our phone these days would have been like driving through customs 10 years ago with 3 loaded file cabinets. Clearly not something you would do then and how I feel about electronics now. It’s customs job to make sure you belong in their country, it’s not your job to help. Answer questions briefly, try to keep it to yes or no answers and move on.

A recent return to the ball busting US i was asked many questions and the last one was “where did you go in Montreal and what did you do”? My reply was simple, I repeated it back to the agent, where did I go? Bars, what did I do? Drank. He knew I wasn’t going to pour my heart out to him and I was on my way.

The vast majority of state and local law enforcement will book fake dates but won’t give fake screening information. As with all law enforcement, risk analysis is necessary. There have been reports of the Chicago PD giving fake screening information, but they more aggressively target sex workers than most other cities. Most law enforcement groups realize that screening protect the safety of sex workers and won’t try to subvert that system.
Sounds to me like you’re picking on Chicago’s finest again. What the heck else do these guys have to do if they are not chasing down prostitutes? It’s not like they have the highest murder rate of any city in North America...wait a second...they do. Well first things first: Stop all the heterosexual males from from fornicating and then tackle the murder problem.
