Well I missed the game last night because I did not have electricity estie de cal... de tab... Sorry for my language ;) (finally got it back later on... and watch Vegas a bit).

It's not the same in Montreal without playoff... I will be in Toronto soon hopefully I get a glimpse of playoff feeling (if the Leafs are still around after round 1!).

Cheers,

The Leafs surprised a lot of people last night. They were playing like they played earlier on in the season. Everyone's healthy so this helps. I liked Babcock's line match-ups with Boston's top lines. Toronto's best players played at their best while Boston was neutralized for most of the evening. It easily could have been 6 or 7-1 Leafs plus the fact Boston's lone goal came on the power play from a somewhat lame penalty call early in the first period.

Boston lacked the foot speed the Leafs provided. Chara looked slow and old. Tavares was better than Bergeron and Marchand was neutralized all night long.

Stop the Bergeron-Marchand-Pastrnak line and the Leafs will win. The Leafs have to continue playing the same brand of hockey they snowed last night.

Yep.....oh tiboboy it's not getting better....they are 0-2 and flying to Columbus...plus their best player KUCHEROV will probably be suspended next game....not looking good at all........and what about PENS---heureusement they will play at home---and JETS who are also 0-2...what an horrible game by HELLEBUYCK yesterday..

so no choice go LEAFS go....go FLAMES go.....enjoy.

Nikita Kucherov is suspended for game 3 for his dangerous hit in game 2. It'll be difficult for the Bolts to win game 3 without its best player and with the game being played in Columbus. But this team is so talented that anything's possible.

Meanwhile my Leafs will play Boston tonight at 8pm and will try to take game 2 after beating the Bruins at home on Thursday night. The Leafs must continue to play the same brand of hockey (speed, skill, good defence) they played against the slower Bruins team. The key once again will be to stop the Bruins #1 line of Bergeron-Marchand-Pastrnak. Babcock clearly outcoached Cassidy in game 1 and must continue using John Tavares against Bergeron.

Was dog tired and spent yesterday so I ordered in and watched a bunch of hockey . My impressions of those games ...
PIT/ NYI. By far this one was the most entertaining for me . End to end action and plenty and plenty of body checking and old school hard hitting. Islanders are strong at home and boy what a difference a great coach like Barry Trotz can make to a team.

CBJ/TB. Watched sporadically . Goes to show you that the regular season doesn’t mean much. Blue jackets where always gonna be a dangerous team but now there getting good goaltending aswell. I really think they will win this series unlike last year when they where up 2-0 against Washington. Big upset in the making.

STL/WPG. Very average goaltending from the Jets . Last years magic is not there . Can’t figure if they are playing that bad or the blues are that much better. In any case they are up against it so they might as well start planning there summer vacations.

VGS/SJ. Watched plenty of this one as I have always rooted for San Jose. Just don’t understand why Doug Wilson couldn’t go out and get a reliable goaltender. Vegas was always gonna be a tough out but now with this horrendous goaltending it will be even tougher. Eight power plays and you get one goal and give up two shorthanded ones , WOW. Only time they looked strong between the posts was when they took out the goalie for 3 minutes and Vegas couldn’t score lol .

TOR/BOS. Looks like a really good series. Good start for Toronto.Inspiring play from Andersen and too much speed from Nylander and Marner that is surely gonna give problems to Boston . Go Leafs .

WASH 4 CANES 3 in OT....exciting game to watch...when your best players are the best that's what happens.....OVI is again on a mission.....he plays intense hockey like there is no tomorrow.....credit to the Canes ..they never give up and they are à l'image of their Head Coach BRIND'AMOUR who was always intense and tough player to play....

So tonight LEAFS and FLAMES go for it.....

This time Bruins were ready....domination totale....ont servi aux Leafs la même lecon que ces derniers leur avaient servi Jeudi........Leafs top guns were invisible except Kadri qui a pris a stupid 5 min penalty with 5 min to play....yes stupid move.

NASH 2 DA; 1.....what a boring game......COL won in OT...a much exciting game.

Can't wait for Tampa--Columbus tonight.....enjoy.

Kind of expected a Boston win last night and thought Colorado would win 2 games this series. TB loses tonight and good bye Irine....

I agree that the Bruins were more ready in this game & gave it to the Leafs. They deserved the win. I also agree that the Kadri hit was a stupid move. But there were other factors that led to the play. Kadri and Debrusk had been at it since game 1. Earlier on Kadri got kneed by Debrusk and the refs didn't call it. The refs let the rough stuff go all night long and even the announcers couldn't believe it and predicted things could very well get to a boiling point.

On that particular play Debrusk took a run at Patrick Marleau by checking him into the stanchion. Kadri noticed it was Debrusk and immediately came to Marleau's defence, not knowing at the time that Marleau did not get injured on the play. If you watch the replay from various angles you can see that Debrusk's face was not the point of contact and that the cross-check hit the side of his neck area instead. Still that type of play has no business in hockey and why Kadri will likely get a suspension. I also credit Debrusk for milking it by remaining on the ice without movie for several seconds....give him at least a Golden Globe nomination for that one!

Kadri will get at least a game, likely more since he's getting an in-person hearing with George Parros. But George Parros is totally not in his element in that position and it wouldn't surprise me if he gave Kadri only a game or two. I mean....was Kadri's hit really worse than the Kucherov hit where he only got one game?
