To be a Canadian or American tourist in China.
To be a Canadian Clothing company with the name Canada in the brand name. Canada Goose is down 20% in the last 4 trading days.
To be an American farmer exporting to China.

On the other hand if the US punishes China too vigorously, they may push the trading giant into a multi year recession and then the whole world suffers starting with Australia.

Add to theses woes, the mess with Brexit , Paris burning and a wounded yet still powerful animal called MBS, and I should be moving to a self sustaining home in Iceland.

^^^^^^ My main wish for 2019 is the political correctness takes a flying leap. That Canadians come to realize that we do not have an air quality problem. And the number one wish is that Canada gets a pipeline to tide water which would bring hundreds of millions into the Canadian economy...... One more, Trudeau is banished to Syria.

Political correctness is there for a reason. It's to keep certain assholes in check from saying whatever ignorant thought that comes to their mind. Racist/bigoted/sexist bullshit should never be tolerated, no matter what.

Sometimes political correctness is taken too far, and that can be a problem too.

i think that the problem is that the term political correctness is being applied too broadly. i was always opposed to political correctness because it prevented an open discussion and the search for the truth. however, i find that political correctness is now being confused with human decency. by labeling all taboos as simple political correctness, it allows many to say any damn thing they please

The political correctness has gone too far when a small minority sets the tone for a vast majority to follow. Which is the way it is now. Baby its cold outside gets banned.... WTF.

Not sure what Air Canada has to do with it? She wasn't arrested on the plane, she was on layover, right?

Personally I think she won't be extradited. By weighing in, Trump has made it political in a way that probably gives Canada room to drop it.

i do not know any details but one important thing is that she was a permanent resident of canada until 2009. she still has 2 homes in vancouver.

canada and the us do have treaties for their citizen. in that view she may not be viewed has a foreigner passing by?

I mean, I get the argument Air Canada might be upset, I'm just not sure why people would be mad at Air Canada in particular.

As for the prince, pretty sure you can't easily arrest a head of state. But your argument seems to be that the US would ignore the extradition treaty it signed in general?
