NBA 2018-2019 Season

God I hope not. I’m not a fan of Dynasties and building super teams , I want parity in the league and im looking forward to a new Champion.
Not a fan of the new style of play in the NBA either with all the three point barrage going on , everything is geared for playing a perimeter game and basically no defence which in my opinion makes it unwatchable ,, old school basketball is gone for good and the new league is all about percentages ever since the basketball analytics discovered that whoever shoots more threes got a better chance of winning .It seems this style of play works judging from the Warriors back to back championships.And we all know that the NBA is a copycat league so ...

That being said Golden state do have a great deal of talent on this team and like EB mentioned if healthy watch out.Still there seems like something is off and team chemistry doesn’t seem to be what it used to be , maybe I’m wrong just my opinion.I whould oppose them though being champions, never been easy winning three in a row plus Boston and upcoming Milwaukee might have a say in who wins it ,, to be honest don’t really watch the game that much anymore cause I find it boring in its current state but come playoffs I will a bit more I reckon.

Don't count out the Toronto Raptors. They just might & could win it all this year.

Not likely, and for many reasons.
One of them being they play up North , even there coach seems to agree with me .

If Kawhi Leonard stays healthy!

Low key and very professional with loads of talent,, who knows maybe he sticks around and doesn’t sign elsewhere when it’s time.

Really impressed with the level of basketball that Milwaukee is playing right now. They swept Detroit and dismantled and brushed aside a pretty talented Boston team with relative ease . Ever since they hired Budenholzer as their new coach this young Bucks team has been improving to the point where many believe they are ready to win it all this year . And why not? They can beat you in so many different ways. They have a great mix of young and veteran players, great shooters , great defenders and one of the most dominant young stars the league has ever seen. And as if they needed more good news to top it all off I’ve noticed that the league has been giving Antetokounmpo the superstar preferential treatment where officiating is concerned thus making them even harder to beat . The NBA has always done that with past greats so that’s nothing new . They have been grooming him for some time now to be their next poster boy. All in all with everything that they got going for them their on a collision course to meet Golden State or whoever comes out of the west in the finals. Honestly I don’t see Philadelphia or Toronto beating them in the East unless they can play above and beyond their capabilities or Milwaukee loses some players to injuries . Antetokounmpo and he’s Bucks have the wind on their backs and I wouldn’t dare bet against them winning it all .

First game of the Raptors/Bucks series was won by the home team. Toronto started the game shooting well ,but unfortunately for them down the stretch when it mattered the most they went cold and shot 0 for 15 in the fourth quarter. The only player who recorded a bucket in the last quarter was K. Lowry who had another spectacular game .
Milwaukee started the game shooting bricks and quickly fell behind. Athletes after all are creatures of habit and so it once again seemed that the 7 day layoff had negatively affected their rhythm. The same thing happened to them in their first game of the series against Boston, only this time they where able to rally and win it in the end. Brooke Lopez had a monster game for the Bucks and their deep bench proved to be as advertised .

Toronto played pretty well for three quarters and if it wasn’t for their horrendous fourth quarter shooting they could have won it .
The worrisome part for the Raptors going forward is that the Bucks won the game despite having a mediocre performance by their standards.

My take is that the NBA's two best teams all season will meet in the finals...Milwaukee vs Golden State!

However, we'll have to see how the Warriors will manage without Durant in the line-up against the Bucs!

If these two teams meet in the finals it should be entertaining to watch. I think Golden State will get Durant back plus there’s still a chance for Cousins aswell.

Milwaukee just recently got Brogdon back and they are on a roll . With the Warriors most likely to finish off Portland pretty soon it is of real importance if Milwaukee can do the same aswell. Not a good thing in my opinion for the Bucks finals chances if this series drags on .

Totally agree with you EB that the Bucs have a legitimate shot to beat the Warriors!

If Durant does not play in the finals, Draymond Green will need to have a monster series against the Bucs and he will have to come up big on defense to minimize the impact of Giannis!.....Green has been Portland's "worst nightmare" in the Western Conference Finals!

Am not a basket fan at all....but yesterday evening with nothing to watch on tv i decided to look at the last quarter of the RAPTORS....wow....i got very excited by that game.....going through 2 OT....and what about LEONARD....i had finally a very fun evening...thanks to the RAPTORS et spécialement to Leonard.

@gaby Didn’t really need to be an avid basketball fan to have appreciated that game . A true sports fan can always see beauty in every sport . Keep watching because this years NBA Finals looks promising.


Watched Golden State dispatch Portland rather convincingly. Ever since Durant went down the whole team kind of rallied and stepped it up a notch. They have that swagger and confidence that champions have . They are hungry and still have that assassins mentality. When the opportunity arises they put away teams . And most importantly for them they now get to rest.

Hope that Milwaukee can take control of the series tonight. They are the team I’ve been following a bit and rooting for since the season started. Toronto is going to try and even it up , but you wonder how much Kawhi has left in him after putting so many minutes in the previous game.

Yep Kawhi seemed exhausted and injured......we will see...will give another look tonight....surtout if the Sharks have another bad game....

WOW.....RAPTORS 120-102.....another exciting game and big win.......is it the same than a win 5-1 in an hockey game????.....i guess it will be another story in Milwaukee.....anyway thanks guys you saved my evening......FROM NOW will root for you only...lollllll

It’s called a beat down Gaby , and good luck with your new team lol . Milwaukee took quite a shellacking . Maybe this series is not a forgone conclusion after all .
