I don't believe this is a joke. Many people who were coming from these country tried to advise us, but most of our politicans did not believe them.

Here is a brilliant quote by Winston Spencer Churchill about the tenants of Islam:

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.

A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.

Now someone please explain to me why that liberals are so quick to defend this religion but at the same time spat on Christianity?

I feel the same way that Bill Mahar does about Islam. Tolerance does not mean capitulation. "I wish they [the liberal] would have the same enthusiasm for intolerance elsewhere in the world as they do for Christians here at home who really aren't a problem..."

Look what they are doing in Rome. They are covering up famous statues that are 2000 years old because they don't want to offend a muslim immigrant that is probably on welfare.

There is good news. Sweden sent 80,000 immigrants back

Look behind you.
The Liberals under Trudeau have no use for Canadians or Christians. The was a story a year or so ago when a Muslim girl claimed her Hijab was torn off by a stranger, Trudeau was in the news right away condemning the act, it was later found out the girl made the story up and the POS responded with " it was a wake up call for us as this could have happened ". Last year a Syrian refugee murdered a Chinese girl in BC, not a peep from the POS.
If anyone talks against Muslims they are automatically a racist.
Sad Canada we live in under Trudeau rule.

This is very sad. Kumail Nanjiani's movie "The Big Sick"(which is autobiographical), has a scene where he is arguing with his mother about following the old ways in Pakistan where he says to her - "Why did you bring us to America if you wanted us to live as if we were still in Pakistan?" Fortunately, the immigrants I've met in NY from Muslim countries are very pro democracy and very anti repression in their old countries. The same can't be said about the elite NY white liberals who are always worried about offending the sensibilities of the Muslim world.

Sol - The same thing happened in NYC last year. A muslim girl claimed her hijab was ripped off by white Trump supporters in the subway. Her father demanded justice from the police. The NY Times and the TV stations condemned the white racists and Donald Trump for creating this racist environment. The police checked the video cameras in the subway. No white Trump supporters. She had taken it off and tossed it away herself. The next day her father cut off all her hair, shaved her head and eyebrows, and forced her to go out in public exposing her shame. No mention of this in NY Times or any TV station.

Good for her father. What a POS the girl was for doing this. I hope she learns a lesson.

Why is the left always so ready to cave? Why a habit was allegedly ripped off a women and the left is ready to grovel and condemn. How about when the lying whore in the Duke Lacrosse case, Crystal Gail Mangum? The self-loathing liberals that teach and run the college and the lying DA Mike Nifong who was disbarred because he suppressed the DNA evidence that exonerated the boys. Again, they were so quick to condemn and convict but it never happened. Why do these people do this? It is a conditioned response. They know and understand the coverage they will get from the left-wing, self-loathing media who is looking for these stories so they can condemn and therefore project and feel morally superior. Same with Trudeau.

But when women are raped and murdered the government does not want to admit it and the media doesn't want to report it.

Like Gary H, I've found my friends have similar feelings.

Wait - this one from a couple years ago? Reported in the New York Times and the Washington Post?

But seriously, this is a party that doesn't even exist yet in Ontario (it isn't Islamic Party of Canada). So what? We have lots of tiny parties with stupid ideas. There were 28 parties running in the Ontario election last year, this will make it 29 if they ever manage to even file the proper paperwork.

V - Perhaps I wasn't clear in my response. I wasn't saying that the Times didn't report the false allegation, but rather they didn't report what the father did to the girl afterwards. If a Christian father did this to a misbehaving daughter, the Times would be very stern in their condemnation of him. But the Times article seems to be forgiving of the girl because of all the pressure Muslims face. Like Sol said the tone of the article is - Well it could have happened. As in most of the articles the Times write, when someone from one of their favored group does something wrong, they twist the story to one of their talking points to make excuses for them. ( And a side note here - the pressure the girl talks about was that her boyfriend was Christian and her father hated him according to other news sources.)

My hope is that there is a way for a country to limit it's own immigration and make sure that citizen can keep their identity without having to be a pure ass hole liar like Trump or that Brazilian new PM.

There is a way to do it without having to call out that mexican are all burglars and rapists... There must be a way I should say.

Remember the main goal of radical Islamist is to destabilize the modern world because they know once that is achieve the economic market will collapse which will let them get much more power and build their rank to skyrocket level.

We should not freak out each time a single Islamist makes noise. Actually what we should do is ignore it.

I am very proud of Quebec new government. They won over the Liberals solely on a campaign based on regulation and diminution of immigration and on school "Laicité" (sorry I do not know this word in english).
Quebec new immigration minister is a young polite guy who will be better listened and followed then an idiot that barks all the time.

Cheers,

GaryH " but rather they didn't report what the father did to the girl afterwards. " Fair enough.

jailmon - " They won over the Liberals solely on a campaign based on regulation and diminution of immigration and on school "Laicité" (sorry I do not know this word in english). " Like I said in the other thread, I don't think they won because of the immigration proposal. But to your main point, their rhetoric and discussion on it was a lot more reasonable than stuff we've heard of late. They want a reduction, they argue it is about the ability to integrate, etc. Overall, the main message was far more reasonable as a discussion. And, of course, once you actually get to the wonks both in Canada and the US, you tend to see this kind of talk all the time. What is reasonable, what should the criteria be, how do you deal with exceptional circumstances like a sudden spike due to a natural disaster or a war. It's just that that kind of language gets drowned out in over-the-top bullshit because numbers are boring.

("Laicité" doesn't really have a translation that works. It would be "secularism", but that doesn't have the same nuance when talking about the social policy in the French tradition.)

Would be the same for jews... Seems like these 2 groups have the monopoly for hate.

Question... When you guys put some "^^^^^" in your post, what does that mean?

I have no idea if he will be tried for hate speech . I was answering why I assume he can't be deported. (Honestly don't know enough about this guy.)

(I assume he won't be tried for hate speech because he was preaching if I understand the video correctly. Saying hate speech as part of a sincere religious interpretation is not prosecutable, if I am remembering correctly.)

Look at this sick bastard in BC trying to spread more hate just because he didn't want his followers to say Merry Christmas to people. Why can't Canadian government deport this bastard!

https://news--of-the-day.com/2019/0...ristmas-is-worse-than-murder-says-b-c-cleric/

If you dig into the article you will see a picture of this guy in all his robes. He probably is sick of people mistaking him for an actor in one of those live manger scenes around the Christmas season. I don't blame him.

Maybe he ought to dress like he lives in the 21st century and lives in North America and not like someone from the 7th century that lives in the desert?

Merlot - If the POS is a naturalized citizen than shame on Canada for letting him in.

In one of the articles concerning Vancouver police investigating him on hate speech charges back in 2005 (seems this asshole has a long history) it said something about him coming to Canada when he was a child. So probably citizen.
