Question for the New Englanders here

The articles are about a year old and it states that a bill was put forth to "recriminalize" prostitution and to cover up the "loophole." Did the bill pass and become law?

Shhhh!!!

There is virtually no action in Rhode Island and less in Connecticut, so what the law is or isn't is irrelevant. You go where the action is, and there is no action in RI except a few decent strip clubs.

Given the major differences between Canadian and American laws and attitudes I would like to congratulate EB on coining a new oxymoron "decent strip clubs".

Had a meeting in RI last week and - the intalian food was great "federal hill", but the fun was poor. We did not look for escorts, we went to a couple of local dance clubs (Club Fantasies, Foxy Ladies and Cheeters). At $30-$40 per 2 minute dance, it was a complete waste of time. The dancers, most, not all, looked like they are biker babes with a habit. Thin, tatoos, smoky breath, hoarse voice, forget it. Remember when Foxy and Centerfolds employed dancers that looked like they were from "miss america". Beautiful women with an attitude. Somehow things changed and most of the women we encountered had absolutely no concept about hygiene, apperance and customer attentiveness. Harsh, yes. But honest. Not surprised that most of the people we saw at the clubs looked either drunk or wanna be rappers.

OK - back to the question of RI. If laws are more liberal, they need to get back to employing attractive woman. We went with the intention of having fun and spending some good money. We spent little and wound up in the bar at the Marriott Providence for night caps.
