Hi guys, great reading this forum a lot of great posts. Anyways, I was reading the post about hotels to stay in when visiting montreal, and there was alot of info there but none applied to my direct situation.

Last new years I had the funnest time of my life with 3 friends in montreal. We stayed at the hoel st. denis on the corner of st denis and ste catherine, near the berri-uquam subway stop. Anyways it seemed perfect, if was a decent sized room, but more importantly within walking distance (like 5-10mins) of tons of strip clubs and bars along ste catherine street.

Basically I was wondering if there is a better location to party, like good strip clubs and bars really close to another hotel. We're trying to pay a little less this year so we can spend more on escorts/alcohol. So if there is another area with lots of strip clubs on it what hotel near there would you reccommend.

Thanks A Ton;)

so around crescent theres MORE strip clubs?? lol I thought one every other building on ste catherine was a lot.

Ok I can definately check that hotel out, the 10pm thing isnt that big a deal. I was mainly just worried about the amount of strip clubs and bars within stumbling distance of the hotel.

Ohh forgot to ask, are the rooms at the Novotel big enough for 4 guys or do we nned 2 rooms.

Thanks again guys

If you`re using Priceline or Hotwire, you`ll definately need two hotel rooms since each hotel room regardless of size is double occupancy only. If you guys are planning to party in the rooms and maybe call in a few strippers, you`ll probably need more space. Chateau Royal sounds like a good fit, decor is a little shabby but it is centrally located in the middle of downtown on Crescent and have one and two bedroom suites with kitchens.

EagerBeaver,

If you are really curious, you might want to ask someone who works at a hotel. As for Whitethunder, I have no idea how badly he wants to save on his accomodation. In any case, with the double occupany rule, four guys will have to share two keycards and someone will have to sleep on the floor since they can't ask for extra cots without having to pay extra. If I was headed to Montreal with three buddies for fun, I would probably go with the Chateau Royal and save myself the hassle but that's just me.

Thanks for all the info guys. The novotel and the chateau both look great, but if we can get 2 rooms at the novotel from priceline for less than the suite then we might as well do that.

I guess my main concern was if there would be the same amount of strip clubs and bars, mainly strip clubs, extremely close to the hotel, as there was around hotel st denis. There will be drinking in the room, so we have to be at least able to do that. The dilema is, take a chance at another hotel that may not have easy access to strip clubs, or stay at same hotel we know is near clubs, but may cost a little more, thats why I was askin everyone here.

Just to let you know we are all in our mid twenties, so we've done the dorm type thing recently so that may be an option. Does the novotel have a couchbed type thing at least so we could rotate? lol

thanks again guys
