While it is a little concerning, let's see. On the plus side, apparently her work is excellent... so maybe, just maybe there won't be too much of a pseudo-progressive tinge to the next one. The daily mail is a terrible place to read things... they are very sensationalist.

I find it interesting that they are filming in Jamaica. The first James Bond film, Dr. No. was also filmed in Jamaica. There is a suggestion that at least to start the movie, Bond will be seen in retirement in Jamaica, which makes sense, given Craig's current age and how long in the tooth he appeared in the last film. We will have to wait and see if the film is any good.

The story about the producers thinking Lazenby was gay because of his history as a male model, and the “test” they devised to establish whether he was heterosexual, was funny.

The question I would have for Lazenby is on the hotel fight in OHMSS. He appears (at around 0:40) to get the assailant’s right arm in a chokehold at the elbow, and appears to attempt to break his arm, but fails to do so. I always wondered what happened with that because in the next scene the assailant is seen swinging and choking using his right arm. Why was Bond unable to break his arm? Is this one of those things they did intentionally to get the viewer thinking? See below video.

Interesting interview. Surely the worst actor to ever play Bond. But he’s got a big personality,is quick witted and is really an amusing storyteller. Lots of perks that went with being the next Bond and judging from he’s stories it seems he enjoyed himself.
The story about the production sending a woman to test he’s manhood was kind of funny.

@EagerBeaver - looks like they were trying to emphasize how strong the other guy was. He shrugs off a couple of early hits, and then is too strong for Bond's arm break move.

That's how I interpreted the scene as well, but Lazenby has such a good chokehold on his arm that it seems impossible that he could escape that move uninjured, unless his arm was made of titanium. Lazenby had you thinking the fight was over right there, but it continued.

I just think this guy was a cut rate Odd Job. They had done the "basically indestructible guy" before. They would go back to it with Jaws. I think they just failed to set this guy up enough to be believable as a juggernaut.

The actor who played Odd Job, Harold Sakata, was a professional wrestler and brought significant combat sport experience to his fight scenes. Despite his shorter stature, he had a very aggressive, threatening presence which was credible. He sort of looked like a human pit bull. I would agree that the Hotel Assailant in OHMSS was a very poor man's Odd Job.

There is a reason OddJob and Jaws are the legendary "indestructible henchmen".

He was also an Olympic athelete.

Is this any surprise? He looked too old for the part in the last movie. He will probably be put on the injured list again before the filming is over (unless they start using a stunt double liberally) and the film might not get released until 2021.

This is what happens when you sign a guy to a 5 film deal during which it was apparent he was already too old for the part after the 3rd film.

BTW Major League Baseball's "disabled list" is now known as the "injured list."

Your irrational and strange near hatred of the guy is getting to be a bit much. Actors get hurt sometimes when making an action movie. Did he spit in your drink or steal your gf at some point?

You're quite odd.

Moore was in his 50s when he quit. It would be interesting to know the demographics of the viewers of the Bond series. Is it the 1-20 year olds or is it the old geezers like us that grew up with the franchise?
