You are right about STIs, strictly speaking. However, you can also get various bacteria and viruses (eg. The Epstein-Barr virus which causes mono) but again, your immune system should keep that in check (not always though...) . Regarding STIs there is a recent study showing that kissing is an efficient way of transmitting throat gonorrhea (often no symptoms and not tested for very often). This is new knowledge. So I am not saying not to kiss, but these are things to be aware of.

Fair point. I did not intend to stigmatize sex workers, but they do exchange more fluids that the rest of the population... Anatomically, it's little surprise that DFK is important to many. The lips have about 1,000,000 nerve endings while the clit and glans penis only have nerve endings in the tens of thousands. This is not what I have experienced.
