MOONEY: Sergeant, I swear! Flying! With a big red cape! And bright red boots as well! Then, quick as a wink - he was gone! Flew up in the air again, he did. Like a big blue bird!
SERGEANT: Like a big blue bird....with bright red boots! Why don't you take the rest of the night off now, Mooney. Go back to Murphy's bar and finish what you plainly started. I'll be off myself in a bit and join ya there...

    Bonne Année

Tout meilleur à chacun par nouvelle année.

All the best to everyone in the New Year.

J'espère mes classes françaises finalement payées au loin

I hope my French classes finally paid off.

Si je devrai prendre plus de leçons de mon professeur français de favori à Montréal

If not I will need to take more lessons from my favourite French teacher in Montreal....

    Temps à aller dormir

    Time to go to sleep.

veuillez corriger mon français, j'ont besoin de toute aide que je peux obtenir

I am also typing this a little drunk and very sleepy (how unusual for me)

    Merci

I will try my best in the future.
Je fais des excuses pour la fraude.

I guess I should move to Montreal to learn.

Just trying to be cute (also I was a bit drunk and tired)
    Desole pour la deception.

I'm surprised my brain is actually working this morning after the last 3 days of late-night outings and fun, but here goes, Red:

Je n'essayais seulement que de rigoler (aussi je fut tout saoul et épuisé)

Je VOUS fais des excuses pour la déception (fraude is too harsh a word, fraude implies a criminal act)

On dirait qu'il faudrait que je déménage a Montréal pour mieux apprendre.
C'est plus facile que de l'étudier a Toronto.

French classes for Red are 30$ an hour. The other kind of french classes for lovely X-chromosone bombshells are free of charge

I agree that Babelfish is definitely not a good way to learn French. A much better way would be to practice it with all these lovely ladies in Montreal.

BTW, I would give credit to anyone who bothers to spend the effort and tries to communicate in another language. It shows a lot of respect and a desire to communicate.

    Thanks Shijak and Rex

    Thank you both.

For the past year, I have been taking French classes at night.
Now you know why I tend to nod off in the chatroom.

As I said, I wanted to learn French to increase my job opportunities, to expand my horizons and to make my times with my special girl feel more at ease and others as well.

It's pretty hard in Toronto. When I leave the class, my chances to practice French are down to my trips to Montreal to meet my personal French teacher and in the chatroom with Sapman, Shijak and Michelle.

I hope to improve in the New Year. Maybe more trips to your great city.
I know using a translator was not cool to do, just didn't have time to pull out my French dictionary and my French textbook.

Have a good day everyone. It's sunny and 8 degrees here. I keep rubbing my eyes and saying is this winter in Canada???

I already posted this in another thread, but this one seems more appropriate. May everyone one here enjoy life to its fullest, as much as possible without worries, stress, sickness, or anything else. No one here is an angel (an definitely not me! lol), but everyone of us deserves to be happy. And since this is what this board is all about, hobby as much as you can, and please post about your experiences.

For those who are quitting or will quit in 2007, there is so much more in life than just the hobby and sex... Take care of yourself!
